San Ramon Golf Club

The course is in the beautiful east bay surrounded by mountains. I went in for the twilight round and the golden hours breathe new life into your game. The course itself is surrounded by homes, beautiful backyards yet doesn’t feel constrained. Some people (not me!) can expect some sliced drives to fly into homes - tho, they seem to have been quite resigned to it. Front nine are comfortable and back nine get long and a bit more difficult. It was a perfect weather day and the course was in very good condition. I got a hole in one on hole 17 and the manager gave me a commemorative ball marker and said they would engrave it at a later date. The only reason I didn’t give the course five stars was the lack of sand in the bunkers.

Played an early afternoon round after a heavy raining day. The course drained well for the most part, only a few spots were muddy. The green and fairway are in good shape and the pace was surprisingly good for a weekend round. San Ramon has been my go-to course this winter.

Nice, local course. Course condition I'd give a B-, greens were just sanded but overall not in terrible shape. Club house is currently being remodeled, bathrooms are clean, it's got a nice, smaller bar and snack area but the service is good. Decent driving range and putting area as well, but driving range balls are all over Hole 1 in the fairways. My only qualm about the course is the price, $90.00 for a round here seems a bit steep but that's golf in the Tri-Valley prices.

The price to play 18 holes is outrageous. The course needs better groundskeeping. The fairways could use some attention and the tee boxes are riddled with so many divets that I have to get creative in order to tee off the grass with my irons. Back in the day you could show up at 3:00 (when the summer days are long) and they offered "Twilight Hours" which was $20 and you could play til dark. A lot of times you could start on the back 9 if you asked. Either way, it was easy to walk the course and get in 27 holes if you were eager enough.

There's a lot of long Par 3 holes here in San Ramon, each one is like 180 - 200+ yards, so you'll need to practice your wood or long irons' accuracy to get on the greens. I like Hole 9, kind of their signature Hole, you first need to drive the ball to the front of the lake surrounding the green 🍏, and then approach your shot onto the island green, somehow like a PGA course design, lovely 😍 I also like Hole 10, it's a dog-leg left Par 4, remember to look back to the fairway when you're on the green, the view to the valley is just amazing . Course is in great spring condition and the pace has been good recently. Were able to complete the round in 4 and half hours for each of the recent 3 weekend rounds.

A nice public course with friendly players. Nice layout, but shoot straight or cringe when a slice or hooks heads into the houses. Love the 9th. Friendly and courteous staff. Pro shop needs a refresh.

Even with so much rain this year the course is still playable. Most walking bridges were down but concrete path still good. Some important trees were down which was so sad. It's been a tough year so come out and play at SRGC . Go 🦢 swanies! The best bang for your buck in trivalley, heck for the whole East Bay probably! Tee to green all good condition. Had a great time. Beautiful course, very well maintained, very playable course. Can't wait to go back and play it again and again.

Pace of play was great just about 4 hours. The greens were very slow and full of brown spots. Really bumpy with balls take big hops.

Super slow pace. Tee times are spaced 5-6 min apart so you’ll be waiting basically every shot. Fairways aren’t super well kept. If it’s not a hot deal I’d save your money and go anywhere else. Marshall told us to speed up like we weren’t waiting every shot. Just bad management.
