In summary

Saratoga Beach Golf Course is frequently praised for its friendly staff, family-friendly atmosphere, and affordability, making it an enjoyable experience for casual golfers and families. The course layout is unique and offers a fun challenge, though some visitors mention that the fairways are dry and narrow, with a few obstacles that can hinder play. While the course is undergoing improvements, the overall setting and amenities, including a driving range with scenic views and a nearby campground, enhance the appeal for those seeking a relaxed and budget-friendly golfing experience.

I played 9 holes here last week. I have a few thoughts but I’m generally hopeful this course will get much better with time. The fairways are dry, if your ball goes in the rough don’t bother looking for it just find some near the edge, and the sand has been removed from the sand traps. I liked the layout of the course, and the setup for 18 is unique. I found the greens to be very good despite it being very fast leading to me overestimating my short game. The rentals were solid, took a little over a hole to adjust but they were quite forgiving and easy to hit. I enjoyed my time on this course…

They say you get what you pay for, and at Saratoga you get a lot more! Great friendly staff, and a quaint, tight, golf course with a lot of fun challenges. Sure, it is not in the best condition, but the small greens are first rate, the pace of play at twilight moves right along - another nine hole gem to add to my list, I love $CA20 Mondays!

Very friendly staff and relaxed vibes. It would be a good course for a family, people newer at golf, anyone who wants something cheap and cheerful. Slow pace of play with half the groups searching for balls off the narrow fairways. The ground is so hard off the 3rd and 7th tees you would have to carry a hammer to get your tee in the ground. Still, a fun place and the price is right if you’re not feeling too serious about golf.

They are working hard to improve the campground. The new shower facility is first rate. Some of the sites are too rough for tents but there are enough that will work with a tent. The portable toilets were handy and clean. We were there on a Monday and the weekend load was pumped out that day. The dishwash sinks were useful. The site is quiet, but of course as with any campground the people camping can make or break your experience. We were lucky and had quiet neighbors, even the one generator was considerate and had limited use.

Great little course tucked between Comox and Campbell River. Affordable and family friendly. Driving range has nice view towards Oyster a River and is covered! Walking distance to Saratoga Beach and Pacific Playground.

cheap but.... dry terrible fairways...but really, no amount of money is going to make this a quality course, skinny fairways, overgrown bushes and trees standing directly in the way of shots ( ie: 8th hole is ridiculous ) dont waste your $21 unless your a hacker and could care less.

Nice little course. Fairways a little rough, greens are good. Fairly narrow fairways.

It's a nice 9 hole course. Lots of obstacles. Not good for new golfers, you lose to many balls. Friendly staff and golf course under upgrades.
