In summary

The 1781 Club at Scenic Valley Golf Course is praised for its friendly and accommodating staff, well-maintained clubhouse, and enjoyable dining experiences, with many appreciating the variety of food and drink options available. The course layout is considered fun and challenging, though some visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the fairways and the high pricing relative to the course's current state. While the facilities and overall atmosphere receive high marks, the additional credit card fees and lack of cash payment options have been noted as areas for improvement.

1781 Club Cellar is a great option for casual. Perfect for lunch breaks, solo meals, or casual catch-ups. Membership not needed! This area is OPEN to the public! The counter service here was efficient and friendly. I was greeted quickly, and the staff seemed knowledgeable about the menu. They were patient while I asked a couple of questions, and my order was ready within 15 minutes. There’s no table service, but the staff kept the tables cleaned, which is appreciated. I’ll be back!

1781 promotes itself as a public course with a country club atmosphere, since it changed ownership several years ago. The clubhouse, restaurant, pro shop and golf carts are all significant upgrades from the “Scenic Valley” days. The course itself is no better and in some areas worse than years prior. The service at bag drop and in the pro shop are better than years past. 1781 has reversed the 9’s, so now #1 is the old 10th and the new 18th is the old #9. I preferred the prior configuration as in the past you started on two easy par 4’s to ease you into the round and you finished on a more c…

We played at 1781 in middle of August, in the middle of a very hot summer. We had a tee time, and paid in the clubhouse. When the amount came up, it was $4 and some change more than the $70 they charge to play a round. I asked the cashier if there was a credit card fee and she said yes. I said “oh ok let me check if I have enough cash” and she informed me they didn’t take cash. I can understand charging the credit card fee, but to not have an alternate option to pay is absurd. So after paying nearly $75, you’d think course conditions would be immaculate. So would I. We got to the first hole, t…

I can't say enough about the facilities and staff at the 1781 club. The building and interior is tasteful and beautiful. The staff could not be friendlier or more accomidating. We had my son's rehersal dinner there and everyone keeps complimenting me on the food and dining facility.

Absolutely ridiculous they charge what they do for this course. I don’t think I’ve seen a course this out of shape. Every fairway looked like a wild fire went through (have examples of 2 different fairways, only 2 cause I can’t put 18 pictures on this review). Tee boxes were terrible, craters and extremely hard ground. Greens were okay, but doesn’t seem like maintenance was a high priority for them. Clubhouse is cool, would have loved to have dinner and drinks after my round there, but couldn’t justify giving up more of my money to them. Feel bad for members there, if I was one it wouldn’t be…

The 1781 Club is a very nice place. The food options were great, the course looked beautiful (I didn't play but there were a lot of people out that day), and they had a cool basement space with pinballs and golf simulators.

Very enjoyable experience. Pulling in, staff was more than friendly and very helpful. Certainly one of the best club house for a public course that you will find in the area. Course layout is very fun with low scoring opportunities, but also enough challenging holes that leave you needing to plan your next shot. Yes, the course right now is not in the best of condition, but that is the reality of every golf course in this area right now. Picking up and dropping in the green parts is not the end of the world. Especially considering there has been virtually no rain for the last month. Cart paths…

I had the pleasure of dining at the 1781 Club and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was excellent, full of flavor and prepared with real attention to detail. The beverages were great and the desserts were just as impressive, making the evening feel complete. The atmosphere felt both refined and comfortable, and the service was attentive in a way that made the whole night enjoyable without ever feeling rushed. It is clear the team takes pride in what they do. I truly enjoyed my time there and will definitely be returning. The 1781 Club is a place I would recommend t…

We had our work Christmas party at the 1781 Club this year. Megan and her team were absolutely amazing! The place was decorated so festively we didn't have to do anything! The food was great, the service was impeccable. We couldn't have had a better time.

The 1781 club is such a great spot. The staff always makes you feel welcome. The food and drinks are great. Everything I’ve had here has been fresh and full of flavor. It’s the kind of place you can hang out with friends, celebrate something, or just have a nice day on the golf course. 10/10

It's a warm atmosphere, and unique place to be even during the off-season! Pleasant staff and speedy food service in the Cellar. Four indoor Trackman golf simulators too. It's basically like an indoor golf range!

Met friends at the halloween pop-up. It was a beautiful warm night, the bar was decorated amazing and it was a dead there. Ordered an appetizer and it was pretty bad. There were fun halloween drinks on the menu. We ordered all of them and one was worse than the other. I am only making this post in hopes they do better with food and drinks. Its an awesome venue
