In summary

Sheffield Greens Golf Club is often praised for its well-maintained course, welcoming atmosphere, and accommodating staff, with many appreciating the improvements made by the current management. However, several visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with the behavior of the marshal, particularly regarding his interactions with beginners and families, which some found intrusive and discouraging. While the course itself receives positive feedback, the customer service experience has been a point of contention for some guests.

Great memories on the course today at the Members and Guests Tournament! Don and I had an amazing time — the atmosphere was welcoming and fun. Big thanks to Ann, Tom, Jennifer, Brody and Bogey for the great job they do. Their efforts really shine and make the course such a great place to be. Just a small thought: removing a few lower branches on the evergreens and using mulch underneath might help improve pace of play. Would also help get rid of some of the mulch piles . All in all, a fantastic day. We’re already looking forward to the next one! Don and Leanne Hall

Don’t listen to the good reviews. The man that runs this place enjoys seeing people miserable. I’m tired of hearing people complain about you and I haven’t golfed in 4 years! The most entitled and egotistical person I’ve met in all my 67 years alive. The reason I say this you ask? Well, If you couldn’t see below, every critical comment left in the reviews is met with attitude, blaming and denial. That proves my point already. Totally Tom, every 1 star is wrong and you’re the one that’s right. That definitely how the world works. Learn some humbleness, you really need it.

Tom the marshal is like that guy most of us has worked with. The beta guy that is controlled at home so he goes to work to bully others. His arrogance is obvious in his responses to poor reviews. Everyone else is the problem, right Tom? Time to have a long look into the mirror Tom. We had the same experience as many others, where Tom follows you around the course, spying on you like a creep. One person in our group even said "this guy is going to be a problem" before we even paid to play. We just wanted to have fun, not hurting anyone, but Tom's attitude wrecked that. We will never return to t…

As a summer guest at Pigeon Lake Resort for many years, I have had the chance to golf at Sheffield Greens a few times over the years, and it has always been a positive experience. This year was extra special though, because with Anne’s gracious permission, my 6 year old grandson got to “play golf” for the first time with me and his Dad! Thank you for the wonderful memories made and we’ll see you again next July!!! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️⛳️❤️

Really disappointing experience. Was really excited to golf here but was very let down. The Marshall, Tom, was rushing our group from the very beginning and kept following us and watching as we played. He had an attitude and seemed pissed off at us because we were beginners. Unless you are a pro at golf, don’t golf here.

I had my first experience at Sheffield Greens Golf Course today, and unfortunately, it was far from enjoyable due to the behavior of the owner, who also acts as the course ranger. The course itself is beautiful, but the management left much to be desired. From the start, the owner was overly intrusive, constantly following and monitoring us. By the 4th hole, he rudely insisted that we play faster, despite us being beginners and having a junior with us. Nowhere on their website does it mention any time limit for the game. Although we were forced to play best ball to speed up, which wasn’t our…

Very well kept course. Staff and owners are always very accommodating and friendly. Make sure to say hi to Bogey (golf course dog) if you play there.

Dont waste your time. Course is not in good condition. If you want to be told to speed up constantly with no one behind you and blue shirt marshall follows you around and watches you like a child then this is the place for you.

Don’t bother wasting your money going here. Terrible hospitality. The marshal clerk was a bird. took our beers and told us if we behave we could have them back?. An older man saying that to grown men was super out of line. The guy was a complete loser. We’re giving him business and his only priority is to ruin peoples time. He wouldn’t let me and my buddies play together because “how it looked” when there was no one behind us. And barely anyone else on the course. Don’t waste your money. We cancelled a Tee time we had book for the next day. Instead we booked at dunsford golf and country club w…

If you are a beginner, you are not welcome here. If you have kids with you, you are not welcome here. The owner is very rude and was constantly harassing us, saying that we are playing slow. We were 4 people walking 2 begginers and a 10 years old, we had 2 people behind us, and 4 on golf carts. We can't keep a pace of 2 when you're 4 people, and when you are walking, you are slower than the golf carts behind you. If you want to enjoy the game, go elsewhere!

Since Tom & Anne took over the golf course, they've made great improvements to both the course and the amenities. The new deck is spacious and enjoyable to sit and have a cold drink after a day on the course. The course has been consistently maintained and has really grown into great shape with their attention to detail. Both Tom & Anne have immersed themselves with the local community and really take the time to know the guests and members who are coming to their course to play. The website is easy to book a tee time on, the atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant and the experience is all aroun…
