Very disappointed as a business how you conduct yourself to customers. Each course has different rules/guidelines. Explain yours without swearing and yelling. And take the judgement out of it. Younger generations are getting excited about golfing, doesnt mean all kiddos would be disrespectful to the course. Better they have a hobby, right? Or could it be you judged first by the color of skin?? Beyond sad, just shameful 😞

Golfed at 15+ locations around here and Slippery Elm is definitely the worst one of all. Owners were already drunk by 2 p.m on a Monday cussing out and causing problems in our group. DRIVE 10-15 MILES FURTHER FOR BETTER GOLF (and better management that doesn’t have loose screws in their head)

I see a lot of people crying in the reviews. I would ignore all of that and take it from a legit source. I've NEVER had any sort of issue EVER at this course. People seem to be crying just to cry. This is one of the best kept secrets in Iowa. This course is always in great shape and I've never had a problem with management. Seems like the people that do should take a look in the mirror. 5 star not even a question. Go cry at a different course...the Slip isn't for you.

The drunk owners started swearing and name calling the people in our party, after we asked that our $310 fees be broken down per family! They refused to even give us a breakdown of the bill! Worst golfing experience ever! Drive 10 miles further where your business is appreciated!

Course was good before new owner took over and messed up the greens with chemical burn. To top it off the owner screamed (and swore repeatedly) at our group because he was mad about his dog (unleashed) running away and my dog (leashed) being present on the course. He and his wife had beers in their carts as they rode up so my guess is alcohol has had a negative impact on the quality of this course. Sad to see an old good golf establishment go downhill.

I’d give a 0 but that’s not possible… I didn’t know you could operate a business while absolutely drunk. Worst golfing experience ever. The owners are terrible and we’re totally rude to our group. They should not be able to run a business. They came over to our car as we were leaving they started screaming at us and the girl owner, Monica, opened the door and grabbed me and tried to pull me out of the car and ended up leaving marks on my arm. What a professional way to operate a business right!?!?

Nothing quite like the Slippery Elm! The greens are some of the best greens in Northern Iowa by far. They are quick and well manicured. Sloping, the course presents a challenge for all levels of golfers with some good quirky holes and doglegs with elevation changes.

Worst course in the area by far. Owners were drunk and yelling at our group when we went to pay. They came over to our vehicle with minors in it and tried to start a physical fight. Take your business elsewhere if you would like to go golfing. Poorly ran business and looks like multiple laws are being broken.

Pretty fun course, hole 8 has quite a few bugs, greens are moderately challenging, and it has a few par 5 holes. Regular weekday prices aren't bad, but they charge quite a bit for beer.

Great Course, fun, and nice bar/patio/19th hole. Saw the negative review earlier, who brings their dog to the golf course? Come on.
