In summary

Spring Valley Golf Course is widely praised for its challenging layout, well-maintained greens, and picturesque setting, making it a hidden gem for experienced golfers seeking a test of skill. The staff is generally regarded as friendly, and the course offers good value for money. However, some visitors note that the course can be difficult for beginners, and there are occasional issues with slow play and limited amenities such as drinking water and a driving range.

6-5-22. Great country course. $35 weekend rate with cart. Course is picturesque, people were friendly, and the pro shop has a full restaurant. It’s only 6,200 yards from the tips but tremendous undulations and elevation changes. A challenging course. I’m guessing this may be a Donald Ross design with deceiving greens and false fronts. I three putted a couple of times and/ or missed the green. Downsides: It is pretty remote and guessing not too many people who aren’t locals play here. It is picturesque but the fairways are super fuzzy and hard to hit the ball cleanly. I played as a single and…

Honestly, this course is a diamond in the rough. Tiered greens, a couple of blind tee shots, steep downhill shots to greens. Shots across valleys. Fairways can be narrow. It's a challenging course. I would never recommend this course to someone just starting out at golf. It would be a miserable experience for them. The only reason I'm taking a star off is because, it seems beginners flock to this course. Lol No fault of the course, but it does take away from the enjoyment.

Haven't played this course in 10 years. Then, our annual golf out was hosted here. The course was in great shape. The layout was way better than I remember. The greens were very receptive. This course is a hidden gem in Stark county.

One of the most challenging courses in the area. The greens are very well kept but challenging as well. One of the nicest kept greens that I have played on this year. They are true. The Back 9 is hard ( for me anyways ) many up and down hills, trees, and some blind shots. Nice fairways. The rough is kept. It’s a fun course to play. $20 9 holes - anytime after 4pm - the prices are good.

Beautiful course! Demon greens! 😆 This is the second year playing there at the Hammer and Nails Golf Outing. I wish it was closer to me. It is not open, lots of trees. Being in a valley, there are a ton of hills. There are no flat greens. Some of them are vicious. I found it amazing that I played 18 holes with just one ball this year!

Beautiful golf course, but not for the faint of heart. It's a challenging course with many holes that will test even the best golfer. Definitely a must play if you like a challenge.

The back 9 was very challenging. We played late August and the entire course was rock solid. It made for a challenging, but fun time. I would highly recommend coming out and checking out the course. The Triple Tiered Green on one of the Par 4s on the back... Wow.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Not for Beginners If you’re a newbie, avoid this course. The dude that rides around in his golf cart is extremely strict and doesn’t tolerate anyone who needs a bit more time to learn. Felt more like a boot camp than a learning environment. If you’re looking for a more supportive and understanding experience, I highly recommend Lion’s Den instead.

Spring Valley is a great golf course for a relaxing round. The course is well kept and has great variety between holes. It's never too busy, which makes for a nice round without waiting on the tee.
