The St. Andrews course, designed by John McGregor, features flat terrain with large contoured greens and challenging par 3s and 4s. The Joe Jemsek course, originally designed by E.B. Dearie, Jr., presents a more hilly terrain with scenic finishing holes over water. Both...

In summary

St. Andrews Golf & Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained courses, challenging layouts, and accommodating staff, with particular commendation for the restaurant and event services. The club's year-round availability and practice facilities, including a driving range with heated bays, are also appreciated. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about inconsistent pricing, overly involved marshals, and additional fees for carts and walking guests, which have impacted their overall experience.

We always enjoy playing at St. Andrew's! A well- maintained, beautiful course. The East side is especially challenging! The restaurant/ pub is always a great stop: many menu options, all have been good, and outstanding views of the course! Would highly recommend!

First time playing this course and it pains me to rate this course so poorly because I had a great time with great people. However, two things really killed it for me. 1st…. I couldn’t believe the horrible conditions on the greens. Completely beat to hell! It was like putting through a minefield. 2nd….and honestly the absolute worst part, the marshal was way too involved in our game!! I’ve never been followed so closely, or spoken to so much on a golf course. I normally love seeing a marshal on the course but this guy was overboard. The funny thing is that he only spoke to us about peace of pl…

We have been taking group lessons here! They are great! We have not halved before- the instruction is really practical and focused. The instructor offers suggestions in form, holding the clubs, everything really. Some are there for refreshers to improve their game. We have used the driving range. We can practice putting and chipping before driving. Set nice people everywhere. Today we were able to stop in to their restaurant! We love it here!!

Pretty disappointed in my last experience. Not regarding the golf. It's the price.. We had a tee time for 2:15 pm last Sunday. We were charged $49.00 per player. The group in front of us only paid $31.00. If anything, they should have paid more because they were earlier. However, it was the opposite. I went to the Pro Shop and they said to take it up with Golf Now. I said I didn't use Golf Now, I used your reservation service. They said that's Golf Now. First of all, that's not very clear. I get connected to a reservation service when I call the course. No one says it's Golf Now. When I called…

DO NOT GO HERE. First and foremost - their greens fees are all 100% prepaid - and only for walking - so when you get there you will owe $20 or so dollars more. Also, while I understand that you acknowledge a cancellation policy at nearly every golf course when you book, sometimes life happens, and life happened for me today so I called the pro shop noted that I was asking for a break and they told me to kick rocks. I’ve lived in the West Chicago/Carol Stream area my whole life - have golfed there many, many times and will NEVER golf there or spend another dollar at their facilities again. If y…

I really enjoyed my time playing the #2 course today. Took advantage of the “warm” end of December weather and got out to play a great 18. I could not believe how good of shape the course was in considering it had over a foot of snow on it just a few weeks ago. I can’t wait to play out here in the spring/summer.

This 36 hole golf course offers two tracks: Jesmek (aka Lakewood) and St. Andrews. We played Jesmek today as a foursome in mid-November. Course conditions were very good, with two exceptions. (1) Goose droppings were prolific on the course, so walking was a mess in places (2) Some areas had a lot of leaves on the geound when they should have been addressed by this time of year. Staff in the pro shop, starter hut, beverage cart and restaurant were all excellent at their jobs and pleasant. Note that reservations for greens fees only are prepaid, and riding carts or push carts are an additiona…

Just had a banquet event last weekend. I have to mention events manager Kim. So accommodating, so easy to work with. She's such an great asset to this company. The food, the venue, and the entire staff are wonderful. I look forward to doing business with this location again.

It was an awful experience coming to this golf course! I drove 5 hours from Wisconsin just to walk with my friend and be there while he was playing golf, and I was not allowed to stay. They wanted me to pay a $100 fee just to walk the course with him, claiming it was because of insurance. The management staff were unpleasant, greedy, and unwilling to be understanding or put themselves in the customer’s place. They only seem to care about money. My friend has been playing golf for many years, and we have never experienced anything like this before.

Really solid go to course. There aren't a lot of tracks open year round and St. Andrew's is in great condition considering it fits that bill. On the tougher side with several challenging par 4s and long par 3s but always enjoy my rounds here.

Paid $92 to ride 18 holes on a Sunday morning on the Joe Jemsek (#2) course. While this is a peak time, $75 is about the most I would pay to play again. All of the restrictions on the putting green and short game area are overkill. This is the only course I have played at where they don’t allow you to chip before a round unless you purchase range balls. The course itself is largely forgettable. I’m not particularly fond of courses who boost their total yardage with long Par 3’s — and that is exactly what St. Andrew’s does with four 170+ yard Par 3’s from the White tees. The other big negativ…

Played course #1, it's in decent condition, some of the bunkers had water in some spots but it rained the past 2 days . The greens are medium speed but roll true. I didn't like that some of tee boxes are next to the green. Overall it's a good, I'll be back
