In summary

Sycamore Creek Golf Course receives praise for its reasonable pricing, pleasant staff, and well-maintained fairways, making it an enjoyable course for both beginners and experienced players. However, visitors frequently mention issues with the greens' condition, outdated facilities, and rough cart paths, as well as occasional slow pace of play and concerns about staff interactions. Despite these criticisms, many find the course layout appealing and the overall experience worthwhile.

Hopefully you know a good chiropractor. because riding on a cart here especially the cart path you'll need one. The greens are small and fairways narrow. I was excited to play here cause I thought SC was a top course, but far from it. Not the worse, but fairways are pretty rough. Greens were just aerated so they bumpy but that is to be expected. Very rolling hills, ups and downs all over. Few tees had large mats to hit off of, least 2 par 3's so that was bad, but they had one on a par for, it made no sense. You couldn't put a tee in and you're not hitting a driver off a mat?? Staff was all nic…

Only reason it’s getting 1 star and not zero is that the fairways were decent. The greens were torn up and divots were never fixed. They have a rule where you can’t “hunt” for balls because they do it themselves and sell them at the pro shop for an obvious profit. The “starter” today had an attitude and was talking bad about us right in front of us because we had a rider even though there were plenty of carts left when we made the turn and finished…… Is there a rule about no riders on weekends? I guess there is since we heard him complaining about it after the fact and after we paid the “rider…

I'm glad I ignored the critical reviews. The fairways were in good shape, the staff (starter, check-in, food) were pleasant. The rate was good value. The main issue was the condition of the greens - I presume the weather conditions have made them tough to maintain.

Been awhile since I have played and I chose the 100 degree day to play. Weather gets a 1 star 😆 while the course gets 5 stars. I loved the course, the par 4 and 5s actually felt like good holes to shoot on. Wide open greens and fairways. The only thing i feel they could work on is the putting greens... they were bumpy and need a good solid flat cut.

Sycamore is a solid course. It is shorter than average (5700yds from white), still par 70, but still a very playable course. Greens are slow but very playable and in good condition. Your main takeaway should be that they are liberal with bevarages so make sure you have your party pants on.

Course is in great shape and prices are reasonable. Couple things you need to know before you play. It's a lynx style course so you can get Rolling Hills and undulations if you get off the fairway. Also, pace of play can be very slow at this course. You may want to stock up on beverages before you head out, because I don't think they have a beverage cart that goes around the course. The greens and tee boxes also in great shape. They spend all the money on the course. Which is nice but the course is so busy you would think they would have additional revenue for a few small things such as. The c…

Came as a rider to watch my boyfriend and his friends play. Starter was being rude and saying we can’t pay extra for a cart and that’s too bad but we come a lot and the guy who checks us out is always nice to us. Starter kept talking bad about us within talking distance of us saying there wasn’t enough carts. After coming in from the front 9 there was 3 full rows of carts still and they were dropping rude comments about us even coming in on the front 9 still within talking distance. Unprofessional starters and can’t keep comments to themselves. We are paying customers and it’s not that serious…

What a phenomenal course! Greens are in great shape, very nice layout and good for beginners and experienced players. Worth the money and get lessons from the staffed pro Patrick! He also does a great job out there and really knows his stuff!

Great course for a beginner like me. Challenging but won’t make you wanna quit or not have fun. Cart paths are rough in some places but will be back for another round soon. Pace of play is slow on the weekends and Friday afternoons, but on weekends there is plenty of food in the clubhouse.

Sycamore was my jam to go to. Word has is it is that it's up for sale for real estate and management is treating it this way. Grass tee boxes are getting replaced with artificial grass. They are jamming as many people as possible onto the course, so it has become 6 or more to play. No marshalls keeping up pace of play. The greens are in horrible condition. Was very surprised that "local guides" gave this 5 stars recently with no comments. Obviously they just play putt putt. Sad to see the course go to crap like this.

Ah, Sycamore Creek: A welcoming and completely NOT racist golf course! I have played this golf course at least 15 times, and when I am playing with a white man I have never been bothered about the pace of play! As I said, this is a welcoming and completely NOT racist golf course! This is the 2nd time I have brought my former pastor (who happens to be an older black gentleman), and surprise, surprise, the 2nd time an old white man harassed us about pace of play. But remember, this is a welcoming and completely NOT racist golf course! Both times, this Barney fife wannabe has harassed us abou…

I've all but stopped playing here. My truck was keyed from the rear door to the front fender and I was berated by an egotistical employee on my last two ventures to this course. I gave it one more go again today, and I was again treated poorly by staff. The course is in average (for a cheap entry level course) condition, the pace of play was once again slooooow. I'd spend more money to play literally anywhere else.
