In summary

Hunting Hawk Golf Club is appreciated for its challenging and well-designed layout, with many players noting the course's distinct personality and the presence of wildlife adding to its charm. The staff generally receives positive feedback for their friendliness and helpfulness, and the facilities, including the short game practice area, are well-regarded. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about course maintenance, particularly regarding the condition of bunkers and greens, as well as instances of slow pace of play and customer service issues.

More worried about sending people out to demand they move their cart that’s 10 yards off the tee box than they are keeping pace of play normal. The quality of the course has absolutely tanked. Not a single tee box looks like it did a year ago and the bunkers are beyond unplayable. Everyone from Jacob to Jeff doesn’t seem to know an ounce of respect or customer service. This course reminds me exactly of the crossings a few years back as it goes down hill. Outrageous pricing and we know it’s not used on maintenance and it darn sure isn’t used on training for customer service. Save yourself the 6…

Love the course. Always plays well and the staff is great. Food is decent and not overpriced. It seems like every whole here has a very distinct personality. The course will offer you a variety of options to test your skills. The relatively flat course but it does have water introduced on many holes. You should have ample opportunity to use your driver here at 7200 yards. I only have a couple issues with the course . They have a great short game practice facility but it seems to be closed frequently. Update : 6/1/25 - the fairways and greens are in terrific shape, big improvement. About 3 yea…

I’m not sure about the earlier post about the tee boxes when the picture is of the approach to the tee box? Course is in great shape! Check these pictures out . Taken two days ago.

Great moderate level course! Stay out the rough cause it’s not easy to get out! Lovely course setting and staff are amazing as always. Plus I used to work here when I was in high school so it’s always been good to me!

Amazing course design, but it doesn't get any TLC. not a single bunker was playable and half the greens were in rotten shape. Play this course last year and it didn't look like they had added sand to the bunkers last year, and that has continued to this year. When I say unplayable, I mean they're completely full of clay and some don't drain it all and have become ponds. It's a real shame because the design is pretty spectacular and the landscaping of native plants is beautiful. Lots of birds flying around and overall a beautiful course, just the maintenance is poor. Staff was generally grump…

5/5 facility, what more is there to say. Stopped for a hot dog at the turn and was reminded twice to move along. This managed to turn my 4 hour round into a three hour and fifty-seven round. Kudos to the grill attendant helping me maintain my discipline, of which can be absent at times.

My father in law suffered a stroke 11 years ago is now paralyzed on his left side. He has been inspirationally golfing one handed since yet the marshal told him that if he's too crippled to walk up to the green with out assistance he shouldn't be playing.

My crew members and I had a good time catching up and playing a little golf. This was the first time that I have visited this location. It was disturbing to me that my crew had a negative experience 3 years ago involving some racial words and symbols drawn in the sand. Pictures were submitted years ago. However they brushed it off and wanted to give it another chance since anyone could have written in the sand. We had two T times (groups). One older employee continued to feel the need to speak and address us for no reason. Nothing was positive out of his mouth. Constant warnings despite us bei…

Played 18 in the afternoon and it was not crowded. Very friendly staff. VERY well maintained for a hot July day. Challenging layout with some 'risk reward' shots on almost each hole, especially off the tee. Quality snacks/sandwiches at the cafe too.

We played Hunting Hawk today. Firstly, the name is very apt. We saw plenty of Hawks and many of them were hunting. It seems like the hawks in the area are quite cool with people around so you can get pretty close to them. The course was in really good shape. The layout is challenging with many cool hole designs. It is a fun course and I’d gladly play it again. They have electric carts which is a bonus. Much quieter. The only complaint I’d have is the greens have weeds? Or sprouts? Intermixed on them? Is this Poa Annua? I don’t know. They shave down with the mower pretty well but I did have o…

Just wanted to ask few questions? Have not played here for about three years. Had to wait six to ten min ever hole. No marshall to be seen. All of the bunker have not been rack for sometime. You pay good money to play, you would think they would do a little better helping the play move along? I will wash this sorry golf course off my list. It is a shame they run this place like they do.

Course was in mediocre shape - greens were nice but there were multiple tee boxes that were in poor shape. Thing that really ruined this round for me is the closing time. When they say carts need to be in by 7:30 pm, what they really mean is the ranger is going to kick you off the course at 7:20 pm. The staff handled the situation as well as they could, but honestly, I have never been kicked off a golf course when there was still over 45 minutes of daylight in the day. If you are really going to be that strict about closing, then at least close the course at the end of the day. I would never h…
