The Fields Golf Club

What a great place. Covered driving range with trackman and fantastic pricing. Course was in great shape when we played. Lots of rolling hills and fun holes to play. There are a few blind shots, but the golf carts have GPS that tell you where the other carts are and will even have you hold up until the next group is clear. Will absolutely be back!

The staff and the golfers were free really nice, thoughtful and compassionate. I did get lost when the cart path cut off. It took me about 30 mins to get where I can going. Some of the golfers tried to help me get to the hole I was set up on. My cart kept disabling then I had to reverse. I felt embarrassed. Lord have mercy! Lol. I went back to the clubhouse to get help. Price helped me get to where I was going. Blake (fed me) and nd Kate were nice at the proshop. I played here on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and had a great experience overall. The driving range is excellent, with comfortable seating for people to relax, watch, and hang out, plus a full TrackMan setup, which was a really nice touch. The fairways and tee boxes were in great condition. The greens had recently been punched, so most were a bit sandy, but that’s understandable from a maintenance standpoint, and I’d definitely like to come back when they’ve fully recovered. I am leaving this review after my second time playing at this course. I do not live near it, but my experience today was worth mentioning. The course is cared for, the layout is fun, and the value is absolutely there. However what really made my experience worth talking about was the people. I experienced great service from the pro shop, from establishing my reservation to check in, and a quick bite at the turn where I picked up a little charcuterie board. Fantastic golfing destination. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Course conditions were really nice....There was a pretty rough storm the night before we played, trees were down and some red clay had eroded on the the cart path. Grounds crew were out making the course look as if nothing has happened. If you are looking for great place to play that will accommodate every skill level, then look no further. Thank you Fields for such a memorable golfing experience.

Played the Day after thanksgiving and it was pouring rain the whole time, so this review come with a grain of salt. This course is one of the more interesting designs that I’ve played, it provides one of the best mixes of risk reward holes that I’ve experience, each tee shot is a challenge and there are some that to bomb as far as possible (#5 and #6), and others when bunting a 6i is probably enough (#3 or #10), the challenge is there from the fairway as well where you are met with a myriad of hazards, green shapes sizes and options. Great price for a great course! Course conditions were better than I thought they would be. Yes there is a lot of ground under repair and some funky cart paths, but the layout is incredible. The back 9 was incredibly fun and made you think about what club to hit instead of just reaching for a driver. Staff was awesome and course wasn’t too crowded. The trackman range was a great addition. Overall, a true hidden gem in GA golf.

Beautiful golf course. Somewhat challenging, but fun

Over all we really enjoyed our first go at the Fields. It is a challenging course, but fair at the same time. Lots of blind shots as it is a very hilly course. For the most part the course was in pretty good shape. There are a few greens that had some issues, but it was clear that they are working hard every day to improve the course. The driving range has displays that gives total distance, carry, ball speed, launch angle, etc. so that was pretty nice bonus. We look forward to playing here again in the future!!

Nice local golf course, they are currently working on reseeding areas but overall looking really nice. Greens are fast and the sand is hard. Driving range is irons only as of this review due to reseeding the tee box area for the driving range. Staff is friendly and the clubhouse is nearly finished with the renovations. Prices are reasonable and the carts are clean.

The course itself is beautiful, a couple of the greens need work but overall it’s a fun layout. We drove from Savannah to play because I’ve heard so many great things about the course, but when we got there 45 minutes early for our 8:30 tee time on a Friday, the range was closed and we couldn’t warm up. That’s not something I’m going to risk in the future unfortunately and can’t recommend it to anyone else driving in from a few hours out. This is something that shouldn’t impact customers.
