In summary

The Links of North Dakota is praised for its scenic views, challenging layout, and friendly staff, with many golfers appreciating the course's unique links-style design and picturesque setting. Recent improvements, including new irrigation and construction, have been noted positively by visitors. However, some reviews highlight concerns about inconsistent course conditions, including issues with fairways and tee boxes, and occasional dissatisfaction with maintenance and equipment quality.

We have played The Links just about every September for over 10 years and have mostly thought it was a pretty good golf course worth the drive and the cost. Due to the pandemic we hadn't played it for a few years so were quite shocked to see the condition it was in and also the fact they were now charging $100 USD (especially in shoulder season). It was in the worst condition we have every seen, possibly one of the worst conditioned golf courses I have played, and certainly the worst $100 USD course ever. The greens were OK but most fairways and tee boxes were terrible with dry patchy grass an…

This is an amazing course! Much respect to the leadership team and staff for your commitment, the golf course is really good! The presentation from each tee box, to fairway, to green complex is awesome! You will be challenged from your first shot. This is a golf course where people will come from anywhere to play! Really good!

Absolutely incredible. Ranked #1 or #2 in ND depending on the source.. a true hidden gem. Beautiful greens and fairways. Friendly staff, nice pro shop - all around 10 out of 10. Enjoy a round of golf in the am and another in the pm. Great spot.

Fantastic layout with some really cool views and golf holes. The course was in great shape. The greens were a touch slow due to the recent top dressing, but the fairways and greens were pure! Will definitely be back.

The grounds keeper is unhinged. We will be calling the better business bureau to report the absolute insanity that took place today. Golfing with group of people and one of the people was not treating the golf course with respect. We didn’t agree with the disrespect of property. Our whole group got banned… taking down license plates, names and threatening to call all other golf courses in the area. Threatening the whole group to call the sheriff’s department. Punish the one doing the damage. ps ripping the green on your side by side is acceptable if you are the grounds keeper. Unbelievable!

Something has happened that has damaged the tee boxes and fairways. Should be much better by next year as they are re-seeding, aerating, and upgrading. Hope it returns to "normal" by next season. Have played a lot of links courses and the condition was a disappointment. Crossing our fingers for them.

Well deserved name, with the tall native grass and challenging bunker locations. Happen to get the best weather one could ask for as to give if the extra cream on top. Amazing rolling hills and multi tiered greens, while hugging the side of the river, amazing views and unbelievable golfing experience.

This North Dakota gem is back to its breathtaking self. The new irrigation, last years construction overhaul is complete and Red Mike is in the condition that people would travel from anywhere to play. The greens will test you with their speed, and the course is in amazing shape. The new green on 1 is literally weeks away from looking like it’s always been there.

This course is wonderful and worth the trip, even if on a windy morning such as we had on July 4th of 2018. The first image is from our "on-site" lodging, second chosen to show the wonderful airy and open atmosphere you play in and the third shows the brisk wind we enjoyed. Never thought I would enjoy playing in 15-20 mph winds but the use of five tee boxes and generous landing areas made playing more than manageable. The fact is, we loved it. They don't have the amenities of an expensive course, but they had everything you need to stay and play, the course was just a lot of fun to play and i…

This course was excellent! True links style course and we got the full experience as we played in drizzle for 13 holes. Affordable rate as we played twilight. The views of the lake from many of the tees and greens were spectacular. Any golfer within driving distance should make it a point to hit the links.

I never take the time to leave reviews, good or bad, but couldn't stop my self on this one. This track was the single greatest disappointment in my 30+ years of playing golf. I have never seen a golf course in worst condition in my life. The tee boxes are rocks, weeds and some old crab grass in spots. The fairways have grass in some areas, and nothing but dirt in others - and they are not telling anyone, nothing on the website, no heads-up before you pay $100 to play. It's not until you come in and complain about it after the round that you hear about "irrigation problems", which is accompanie…

Unique setting in the middle of nowhere. Lniks course with beautiful views and hole design is reasonable. Looks like they r struggling with some grass diseases, but it really didnt take away from the experience. Most cart paths are dirt. Greens ingood shape. Enjoyable day.staff was very friendly and helpful. RV park right there. No stores so come stocked. Laundry had new machines. Bathrooms were very clean. Hookups in good shape. Reasonable distance from neighbors. Only downside was cigarette butts at our site.
