In summary

Thousand Acres Lakeside Golf Club is widely praised for its stunning course conditions, well-maintained greens, and challenging layout, making it a standout destination in the region. The staff is consistently highlighted for their friendliness and attentiveness, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While the course is noted for being on the pricier side and lacking a full clubhouse, many visitors feel the quality of the experience justifies the cost. Some mention the need for further development of amenities, such as a 19th hole bar, but overall, the club is highly recommended for its picturesque setting and excellent facilities.

From the time you arrive to the time you pull out this Club is top notch! The staff is amazing, friendly and very attentive to everyone. The course is absolutely gorgeous. I don’t play golf (yet), but I have helped with an annual fundraising golf tournament here for the past 3 years. While I’m there I get a chance to ride around and see the course and interact with the staff. They Bend over backwards to help make our event a premier event! Everyone who attends just raves about how great this course is and how wonderful our tournament is. Thank you Thousand Acres Golf Club!

This course is one of the best in the WV/PA/MD area. It’s worth every penny to play it. There was a terrible rain storm 12 hours before we played and there was only water visible on one hole. The pro shop, starter, and every other staff member we ran into treated everyone with an incredible attitude and friendliness. This course is a bit pricey, but you get everything you should worth it. Carts are fantastic with ball washer and club cleaner on board with a cooler, free water and towels. The only issue we ran into was the 11th green, but was honestly the only blemish on the whole course.

Absolutely love this course. The greens were great. Fairways were great. Rough was fair, sand traps raked and easy to get out of! Very nice course. Staff very friendly! Would highly recommend this course.

One of my favorite courses in the area hands down. The greens crew know what they're doing. I've been here many times, even before when it was only a 9 hole course. The service is incredible. Ranging from the pro shop to the starter, all were welcoming! A better experience than I could've hoped for when bringing in my group - we certainly will be back.

Great golf course… probably one of the best in Maryland. Rusty, Raegan, and Shannon were fantastic throughout a couple rounds we played there this weekend. Edit: added some panoramic shots taken with my d850

Course was in great condition for late Summer. I can see they're trying to build this as the premiere course in Deep Creek area. But as of now no 19th hole bar, just a fridge. That was disappointing. Otherwise I really liked the course and practice area.

Very pricey. Course was unbelievable nice. No club house yet. They only had snacks available. Gonna be great in the years to come.

2020 Play today first time since last year, the course conditions were great, specially due the lack of rain and high temperatures for the area. Staff was very welcoming and carts were disinfected. The driving range hitting area is real grass and well kept. 2019 Nice course, truly enjoyed myself. Tee boxes were well maintained, large and flat. Staff was friendly they met me at my vehicle and loaded up my bag for me. Play length was fair and they have a driving range. I will be back again

I moved just north of Thousand Acres in PA about 1.5 years ago. There is no course that even comes close to this place unless you have a caddie and you are invited. Top notch grounds crew, and absolutely gorgeous from 1st tee to last putt. Wildlife abound with plenty of deer, turkey, etc. and such a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Bring your "A" game if you are brave enough to play the more back tees. Conditions are perfect, staff were very friendly, and I cannot wait to return. I played 36 and wanted to play again. Put this one on your list for sure! Great job and keep doing exactly what you a…

Not a place for Jr golfers, management staff were not welcoming in the slightest, for the money go play two rounds at Lodgestone. Course was okay shape for Oct, greens and fairways were air raided so no real option on the condition. Not worth the money.

Great golf course, challenging holes and good variety. Breathtaking views of sky and valley and great tech! Bluetooth speakers in carts, digital maps with interactive functions to measure shots and see how close you are to the next cart based on GPS. Amazing course and staff. Pepperoni roll was also a simple but substantial snack.

Course was in beautiful shape with nice greens and was a challenging and fun course to play as of Aug 2025, per my golf-obsessed husband.
