In summary

Treynor Recreation Area is appreciated for its well-maintained 9-hole golf course, friendly staff, and reasonable prices, with many enjoying the amenities such as food and beverage services. The course layout is noted for its challenges and scenic setting, making it a popular spot for both golf and community events. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about inconsistent maintenance, particularly regarding the greens and grass, as well as feeling unwelcome as new golfers.

Course is nice, but the maintenance guy is very rude, if sprinklers are on. You have to play around them, which is mind blowing to me, they never open on time, super nice people inside, and a nice course. But these little things are just irritating.

Very nice 9 hole public golf course. Greens are in excellent shape, ball rolls true. Well maintained and friendly staff. Some ups and downs on the course, and some forced carries. I very much enjoy playing this golf course when I'm in Iowa to see family.

Not a good course. Very patchy grass and large spots where there is no grass at all. The “water feature” is a gross looking divot with a small creek in it. The workers are extremely rude and judgy, especially to new slower golf groups. I’d recommend Quail Run in Neola, way better course for a cheaper price.

We enjoy having our annual get-together here! They have a nice shelter with plenty of picnic tables, decent bathrooms, nice playground for the kids, and electrical outlets. Definitely plan to rent again next year!

Decent price, not very welcoming to new golfers though, was my second time golfing and we felt like we were being watched by the workers the whole time, wouldn’t recommend unless you are and old man who lives in Treynor

Nice nine hole golf course in Treynor, IA. Well maintained and the greens are about as close to perfect as possible. Staff is very friendly, full bar and food service. Prices are very reasonable.

Don't believe what you read on their website. Course is unmaintained. Weeds in traps and on edge of greens. Mowing must not be a priority. Quit after 4. They got our money but not our time. Pass on this one!
