In summary

Trussville Country Club receives mixed feedback from visitors. Many appreciate the friendly staff and efforts by new ownership to improve amenities like the cart paths and pro shop. However, there are frequent complaints about the poor condition of the greens and fairways, slow pace of play due to overbooking, and inadequate course management. While some find value in the course's family-friendly environment and reasonable pricing, others feel the course requires significant maintenance and better organization to enhance the overall golfing experience.

Course is in pretty good shape. The new owners seem to be doing a lot of improvements, cart GPS etc.

I know there’s new ownership and it takes time but raising the price on an already bad golf course and all they have done is “open up to see the cahaba” doesn’t make the course better to play on. The greens are still crap, driving range is terrible. Also, don’t have 5 people in a group on the weekend, hire a Marshall and do it right. Improve the course, not the views. Put a pool in, you’ll attract more people.

Course is great except for the greens and the immense amount of nats (I don’t mind bugs I get it we’re outside but when over half the holes I get swarmed by them especially at the greens it makes it hard to putt) probably won’t go back until the greens are faster currently they are way too slow. One of the guys that i met there said he plays here once a month and of course over exaggeratedly says when he’s putting on his carpet the ball rolls faster than the greens. That was my complaint the last time I was here as well I say all this in good nature and hope the course gets the attention it n…

I hate leaving bad reviews but I can’t believe the horrible shape this course was in and they charge people money for this! The greens were in unplayable shape the picture I added was hole number 2. Every green had horrible deep ball marks, fairways were in bad shape as well. The tee box (whites) on hole 3 was basically just dirt and unplayable. Hope they can turn this place around!

The whole staff was very rude, and some of the staff was also clueless. The range balls were very overpriced and the range itself looks horrible. I broke my ankle on a pothole in the middle of the fairway, nobody keeps up with this course. The cart path is very bumpy and jacked up. Overall everything about this place was terrible. I prefer my local muni over this crap.

*driving range review only* Pro shop was very friendly. The driving range has good yardage markers. The hitting area is mud/dirt. No sand, VERY little grass. Large bucket cost is $18. This is a $10 range max. Maybe the course is better?

So thankful to have TCC close by for my 8 & 10 year old daughters and 14 year old son. I have never been to a more kid friendly course. Chris Rigdon and staff are great with junior golfers and give freely of their time working with them and just simply talking to them and making them feel important and welcome. I don’t know that my kids would be as in love with the game had we been going to another course. Thanks TCC!

This course needs a major overhaul. Phone systems don't work half the time. Cart path needs paving. The grille is now just crackers and hot dogs. Not worth the price, Roebuck provides better value. I paid $65 for a cart, 18 holes and a bucket of balls. I should havepaid half. If you want a place to play golf and you're desperate, go here. If you want a better experience go somewhere else.

For the cost, this is a great golf course. Fairways and greens are very good. The fairways that are not sloped tend to hold water.

Fun course. Friendly staff. No starter!!! Because of this slow play often. They allot tee times with 8-9 minute thresholds. Yet you’ll have 3 groups on one hole because there is no starter. You’ll get hit into on your second shot and the day will continue this way.

Was surprised. I heard negative things but didn't see them. I only played front 9. No poana or weeds, greens were smoth. Fairways were growing fairly well.

Played in late July 2023. Course is in okay condition. I paid $45 on a Friday afternoon and really feel like I overpaid. Most of the tee boxes, and greens are in rough shape for the price and some of the tee boxes look like they haven't been cut in over a week. The course is very tight in some areas and it is easy to lose golf balls even if you hit fairways due to the slope of the fairway. No water stations on the course was disappointing especially with it being over 100 degree heat index. You are probably better off playing Roebuck or Woodward if you are looking for value in the $40-$50 rang…
