The course and lodge have seen recent improvements, contributing to its appeal as a hidden gem. Beautiful and quiet course nestled in the pines with a fun and well-designed layout. However, during our visit, all greens were temporary, which really affected the overall experience. It’s understandable that maintenance happens, but it was disappointing that there was no mention of this on the GolfNow app, where we booked our round. The official course website did have the notice, but third-party platforms should also reflect this kind of important information. Once the regular greens are back, this course will definitely be worth a return visit.

The state has spent some money on this park in the last several years. They have a brand new clubhouse. The course is in great shape and the lodge is newly updated. Truly a hidden gem.

Very well-maintained State Course. Good for all levels of golfers. The fairways are big and the greens are fast. They have a nice driving range and putting and chipping area. The staff is always courteous and helpful. The clubhouse is small, but does serve a few sandwiches, hotdogs, candy and drinks. The clubhouse also has a few clothing items, shoes and golf accessories. This is a very enjoyable course.

All together the course was in great shape. My only complaint is the greens were extremely slow. Why not cut them back a bit? It was literally like putting on a fur carpet. Please Little Olcmugee staff cuts the greens.

The rooms at the Lodge were very nice. Played 41 holes of golf today. For the time of year and the recent amounts of rain, the course was in tremendous shape. Staff has been very friendly and I look forward to 36 more holes of golf tomorrow.

A very beautiful golf course, challenging, and lots of wildlife present. Staff is outstanding, make you feel like you belong.

I’ve played this course many times and always enjoyed it. We played yesterday and I was very disappointed. There were temporary greens on the entire front nine and two holes on the back nine. I made the tee time on line and there was no mention of the green situation. When we checked in for our tee time there was no mention then either. I would have expected to be warned of this situation as the temporary greens were in the fairway and practically inputtable. The greens that were still in use on the back 9 weren’t much better. Had I known about this situation I would played someplace else. I f…

One of my favorite courses in the past. I played it on May 2nd, 2025 and all eighteen greens were dead, They had us playing on temporary greens. One of the course employees told me what their plans were to fix the situation and the regular greens probably won't be available until late summer this year. Total embarrassment for my state park service.

I have played this course many times over the years. I was so disappointed in the upkeep of the course. Temporary greens were spray painted on the fairway and a flag placed in the ground. The staff charged full price for a sub par course. Worse than that they were rude to my playing companion. When we stopped to get a drink at the turn the shop was closed up. This course and the staff are giving the state courses a bad name.
