In summary

White Bear Yacht Club is highly praised for its well-maintained golf course, scenic lakeside setting, and diverse amenities, including sailing, tennis, and dining options. The staff is generally regarded as welcoming and professional, and the venue is popular for weddings and events. However, some criticisms have been raised regarding the treatment of caddies and interactions with non-members, which detract from the otherwise positive experience.

The most lovely "hidden gem" for Weddings and Events. You do NOT have to be a member to hold an event at the White Bear Yacht Club, The food is amazing and the views....gorgeous. Love the nod to nautical decor, makes you feel like you are on Martha's Vineyard, without overdoing it.

Always a great experience. Greens are well manicured, fairways are great.

Huge parking lot, wonderful views, especially from the upstairs bridal suites. An overall wonderful venue for weddings and those special events that one has in life. Having a chef on-site is great too. We had sushi prepared by him, and it was really amazing for our group as it was a blazing hot summer day outside

I love being a member at this club. The golf course is amazing, but it also is the only country club in the midwest which offers sailing, and lakeside boating, a dock, wonderful restaurant, and of course fantastic tennis. It's like a resort without the sleeping rooms! The staff is knowledgable and wonderful to work with as well. The members are fun and welcoming too!

As a son of a PGA club pro and one myself I have been blessed to play at some amazing places. I have to say if I have a family or am just a golfer this is where I am joining in Minneapolis. The membership and staff couldn’t have been more kind and welcoming. It truly is a beautiful place with amazing people. The clubhouse over the lake has to be one of the best in the country. A Donald Ross course that you won’t ever get tired of playing. A day I won’t forget and hope to repeat again soon. Thank you to all on property.

What a gem! We relocated to the twin cities a few years ago and only recently found the WBYC. Amazing family destination and community; so much to do from the swimming and tennis to golf and sailing. The golf course and lakeside clubhouse are truly unique destinations in this area. We look forward to building many good family memories here in the future.

ZERO STARS for what I've seen on the Golf Course! This place is HORRID to their Caddies on their so-called Caddy Program. Which consists of underage children, which looks about middle school age. They Caddy for golfers. This would be a great program if it wasn't for their allowed behavior from their members. I've had the horror to see first hand while golfing. They carry 40lb bags, uncomfortably, on their shoulders. One CHILD was hollered at for not keeping up. Mind you they are running on terrain. Another was made fun of! With continued giggling and rude comments from golfers. Looked like the…

A gem of a golf course (top 50 in the World according to Golf Atlas), great lakeside setting, outstanding food and unique clay (har-tru) tennis courts. Weddings/events are open members and non-members - could be the most beautiful setting in the state.

Terrible Club. They think they own the waters and HARASS Anglers who come within a football field of their Docks. Terrible Employees! Know your Rights Anglers, This body of Water is Public Property, they dont own water, only the structures. Do Better if youre going to call yourself a Proper Club.

Sure, it looks beautiful and nice, but underneath the rich person exterior is a depressing reality, the caddyshack. Caddies are kept in a foul smelling, unclean room, with barely functioning power and light. They are paid as little as possible, and all payment is "under the table." Caddies are segregated into groups, and to advance you need to do a certain amount of rounds, you can't do rounds if you aren't high ranked enough, so to rank up you either need to know someone at the club, a luxury most caddies don't have, or have a sibling who has worked their before hand, something even fewer hav…
