In summary

Wolf Creek Golf Resort is praised for its beautiful location and scenic views, making it a popular venue for weddings and events. The golf course layout is appreciated by some, but there are significant concerns about its current condition, with many noting issues like dead grass and ongoing maintenance work. While the resort's accommodations and staff receive positive feedback, the golf course's state and full-price charges despite limited playability are common points of criticism.

The room at the resort was great however the golf course is in terrible condition rendering it almost unplayable. The rate was not discounted which was disappointing considering not all holes were open and we were told it could be two years before the course is back to good conditions! We had a tee time the following day which fortunately the staff cancelled for us with no fees incurred. I will not be back to play even if this course gets becomes top 10 rated. I think the photos speak for themselves as to the conndition of the course and greens.

Just played a round of golf at Wolf Creek Resort, and while the course was super yellow and the pace of play was inconsistent, I'm still looking forward to the future. Paying full price for a course that doesn’t even have 18 holes open is a push. Most is dead grass and could never seem to get a good lie. The course needs some TLC, but I'm excited about the planned upgrades over the next few years. Hoping these improvements will bring the course up to its full potential. Fingers crossed for a much better experience next time.

I have only played the course a couple times and never stayed at the lodge, so I can’t comment on the amenities they provide, but the course is a very nice track and worth the trip! I have played a couple weeks ago and they are doing a bit of irrigation work so the course was a bit baked out, but because of the excellent layout it was still enjoyable and I will go again soon!

Had a great opportunity to play golf here. And what a beautiful time of year. We were able to snag a late slot and boy did me and my son enjoy it. After we finished up 9 holes he instantly said dad now I want some golf clubs. Maybe it wall last 1 week or a year or just maybe it might start something long term. Whatever it may be this will be a great memory forever. One with some pretty great views!

Absolutely terrible experience I’ve had all summer long. The course is completely trash with no heads up from the “pro shop” no discount on the rate due to holes being closed “due to irrigation” tractors running down the fairway, grounds keepers water the putting greens so you can’t use them. Groundskeepers in the middle of the fairway during gameplay. The complete chaos is hard to describe but they should close the course entirely until they get it all put together to where it’s enjoyable. If not, I hope every person who plays this course writes a review about their experience. 0 stars.

I played on the last Saturday of June and was pretty disappointed in the condition of the course. There was a lot of burnt grass for that early in the season and there were also a lot of bare patches around and even on many of the greens. Unfortunately I also had to play out of several greenside bunkers and what sand there was (maybe 1 inch deep???) was packed hard. There wasn't much point in trying to rake after your shot scraped the dirt.

Beatiful location near the mountains with a nice lake. Trails to ride or run on around thr lake. Golf course on the property along with a golf shop. Rooms were nice. Definitely a nice place to stay.

The front nine of this course is horrible, It looks like repairs are in-progress which is understandable. Charging full price in the current conditions is unreasonable. Back 9 did help make up for the front. It was in great condition.

This is just a beautiful place! My wife is a florist and we were involved in a wedding at this resort. The staff was exceptionally helpful and good to work with. They also were very flexible. The wedding was supposed to be outside, but a storm came up and the staff was able to still make the vision of the bride happen and work with my wife as the florist to accomplish it even though they had to change venues within the resort.

Love everything about this place except for a couple things. 1: That you can't turn the AC lower than like 71 degrees fahrenheit without the AC unit freezing up. So it's a bit warmer than I would like. 2: I noticed today when I came into my room that my blinds for my window were not working. The staff was able to fix the problem for me but it took some time and the blinds still aren't operating correctly (their automatic blinds). These might seem like rather nitpicky things, but they did affect my experience here. Other than that though it has been a fantastic experience.

I went to a wedding at Wolf Creek, and while the setting was beautiful, I was not thrilled with the service. The first concern I had was a lot of broken slats on the pathway to the ceremony. There were several elderly people and children that were tripping on them. Fortunately, no one was injured. The second concern was when my 72-year-old mother overheated and got sick during the ceremony. I understand the resort cannot control the weather, but I was told later today there was supposed to be a cooler to help with the concern, but it was not provided. At the dinner, my teenage niece asked m…
