In summary

Acton Golf Club is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and a course layout that offers a mix of challenges suitable for both beginners and experienced players. Many visitors enjoy the well-maintained greens and the welcoming atmosphere, with some highlighting the value of membership and twilight rates. However, there are recurring concerns about the condition of tee boxes and bunkers, as well as issues with slow pace of play and the demeanor of the marshals.

Last year in COVID season, we had a great time at Acton Golf Club. It was perfect day to play golf and the course was in great condition. We had small tournament, got to play 18 holes and we would recommend Acton Gold Club 100%

Best bang for the buck for a par 68 course! It’s my 3rd year being an Acton member and will keep on going. It’s definitely worth it. Our group grew throughout the years playing this course and held many mini tournaments. Staff are friendly and attentive especially Joanne, Doug, Barry and all the marshals. We played here so much that Acton GC became our second home.

Great, friendly service doesn't unfortunately trump a poorly maintained golf course that appears to be the epitome of a cash cow. Tee boxes were bare, rock hard and uneven, fairways were anything but lush, and the small greens were okay at best. Golf North could do much better by investing some money into properly maintaining this course. It's really too bad they don't.

Well maintained grounds and greens across the course. Fairly challenging for the average golfer with a balanced par 3 vs par 4 ratio. Had rained the night before causing some significant puddles to form along the cart paths; would be my only comment for improvement consideration. Staff was friendly and the food was very good! Try the breakfast sandwich when you go there...highly recommend!

Had a great experience. It was raining slightly and the course was still in great condition. Some greens were a bit flooded but that was expected. Got to play 36 holes and the staff was very friendly and kind enough to wait for us to finish.

18 holes at Acton Golf Club; course did a good job at spacing golfers so didn’t feel rushed. A lot of short holes 150~ yards, good for beginners. Course fairly well maintained - staff did a good job with the new covid rules

Hidden gem. I've lived in the area 20+ yrs and didn't know this place existed! My son recently treated me to a round of golf. Not a challenging course, which was perfect for my (poor) skill level. Surprisingly not busy on a sunny Sunday morning... admittedly a 20 min rain delay did come n go before the 1st tee. Clubhouse was clean and food/drinks were basic.

The tee boxes are not levelled. The grass on the tee boxes is competing with mud and sand. The bunkers have no rakes and have weeds in them. The greens are great! The overall course design is excellent and challenging. It suffers from being built on clay soil with poor drainage. .

Great course for the price. It is a short course and a great place to play for both experience and inexperienced golfers. It is easy to play safe off the tee, unless you want to take a risk in which case you can get into all sorts of trouble. After 4pm, it is only a 9 hole rate for as many holes as you can get in before sunset. If you play on a weekend, then expect it to be slow as would be the case with most other courses. If you go in expecting to play a high-end course, then yes you'll be disappointed.

Great course. conditions were pretty good for this time of the year. My one gripe with my experience is the "marshalls" are a little extreme towards golfers. Had a 2some playing behind us and he drove up to us YELLING saying we werent keeping on the path. I get rules but to have another golfer who i guess was NOT working at the time yell at you because you went off the cart path is a little over the top if you ask me.

Place is going in the gutter. Overpriced for what you're getting, there are far better courses that are run better and maintained better for the same price or cheaper. Course is rough, especially the tee boxes, no matter when you are playing. The marshalls are horrific and do not understand basic human interaction. Skip this place and keep looking, there is a reason that when you are looking at tee times, everywhere else might be booked, but this place still has plenty of times available.

Good course to hone your skills with a degree of challenge as some holes are tight. Bring my 9 year old son here. Marshals are great with him and very encouraging and love to share advice with him.
