In summary

Agate Beach Golf Course is praised for its friendly and accommodating staff, well-maintained greens, and unique 9-hole layout that offers a mix of challenges suitable for both beginners and experienced players. The family-owned course is also noted for its dog-friendly policy and the popular on-site coffee shop, which serves highly recommended meals. Some visitors mention minor issues with bumpy fairways and occasional slow pace of play, but overall, it is considered a charming and enjoyable golfing destination on the Oregon coast.

We love this little family owned (same family since 1961) golf course and coffee shop. It’s never too busy; we’ve always been able to play with little wait and no tee time. It’s not terribly long and only 9 holes, but it definitely offers some challenges without providing too much frustration. The true gem we discovered on our last visit though was their coffee shop. Our waitress was one of the family members and suggested the burger, which patrons have told her is the best in town. After having it, I’m in agreement. I added 4 thick slices of bacon to it, which our waitress also recommended, c…

This is a fun place to golf. The staff is friendly and helpful and makes you feel like a member even if you’re not. Frank in the pro shop is great. He shared the history of the course with me and gave me so tips on how to play certain holes. It’s December 1st and the course is still nice and green. It offers challenges for every golfer but is new golfer friendly. They do offer both push carts and driving carts, I recommend walking. If in the Newport, OR area you have to stop in and play a round.

I'll be back. Does that say how much I liked it? Greens we're mostly awesome and staff was very friendly. We went with golf carts and they were fine but the fairways were a little bumpy. I would walk the course and enjoy the beauty. Great course even if it's only 9 holes!

Went to the coast over the weekend for some R & R and visited this course. As the other reviews stated it’s a great course and I can’t say more about the staff. Frank was very pleasant and helpful and suggested we take our dog with us. The weather was beautiful and we had a fantastic time. We will go back for sure!!

I don’t golf. I came for the food at the clubhouse based on recommendations from locals. Had the Pork Adobo Bowl. It was awesome 10/10. 3rd generation owner is running the kitchen and just CRUSHING it. The “bowls” change weekly but they are delish. Not just super tasty but a nicely balanced meal with fresh veggies to match the quality meat and carbs. It shows that she’s got a college degree in food (she’s a registered dietician). Super friendly family owned since the 1950’s. They treated us like family and were just tourist from Wenatchee, WA passing through.

This place is fantastic! Dog friendly! Our family made the trip and brought our two dogs. It was one of the best golfing experiences we have ever had! The family run golf course is also a wonderful course, and the staff is so nice. We enjoyed talking with Mackenzie as we had lunch outside. Nice place and with our dogs it's just that much better. We so look forward to coming back for more golf and good food with our dogs as well. Thank you Mark & Megan Ososke

The course is relatively challenging, which made it fun! There are 9 holes, but they let you play double as 18. The first 9 we played in the morning and it was great, the 2nd 9 was not as much fun. Too many groups not spaced well enough apart and you were on top of each other. All in all, we would play the course again, but definitely in the early morning.

Service was great. Atmosphere was great. Chowder was great. Seafood pasta was great. There aren’t a lot of places like this anymore. It’s your classic family-owned restaurant & bar. The food is as good as all of the other reviews say. Don’t forget to stop at Gracie’s Sea Hag when you’re in the area.

Really enjoyed the 9 hole course! Wish we would've known it was dog friendly. Next time!

A great family owned golf course. Just the right combination of ease and challenge for the beginner and experienced alike. Also, enjoy breakfast in the restaurant operated by the owner's daughter who is the owner of Soup Dogg, a local business providing a wide variety of delicious soups. Seafood Chowder and Corn & Pablano shown here. Both are outstanding. She also makes craft burgers and sandwiches that are mouth watering and filling. You won't leave hungry or disappointed!

Great Nine Hole Golf Course. I have fond memories of playing this Golf Course with my Grandpa. We would stay at Beverly Beach and play this course. Thanks for the great memories.
