In summary

Neskowin Beach Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly staff, unique layout, and well-maintained greens, with a standout feature being the high tee on hole seven. The course is considered a charming and challenging spot for both seasoned players and those seeking a scenic round. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, confusing layout, and a less accommodating atmosphere for beginners, particularly regarding pace of play and equipment sharing rules.

Super nice staff, well kept considering the location (very low creek basin)! Greens are in great shape, modifications are made early season to accommodate seeding and wet areas. They're taking strides to get the course dried in earlier each year. There is a really unique high tee on hole seven, and a couple short holes. Perfect practice course. This is definitely going to be my home course! Greens and overall course is in absolutely amazing shape.

Hole 7 is unique and worth the hike up. The course layout is somewhat confusing, especially hole 5. The disappointing part is that it was not well maintained. Some of greens looked more like fairways, and the fairways mostly looked like rough. It’s much too expensive for what is offered. I wouldn’t mind the price if more care was put into the course.

This little course is short but tricky. Lots of opportunity to get in trouble in the water or the woods. Hit it straight. It can be a little wet sometimes so don't expect much roll. Signage is excellent hard to get lost. And they have a place to escape a tsunami. If Google Maps takes you to the fire station, head south on 101. Take the right turn into Neskowin. Then follow the signs.

NOT BEGINNER FRIENDLY Poorly scheduled tee times, Marshall rushed us along on a 9 hole telling us we were two holes behind when it was only one. Very uninviting. Love the course, manager was nice, but still ruined my family day when Marshall made us skip a hole when we were just barely behind and would tell us to go quicker without telling us how or offering solutions, just harassment because we were beginners.

Just finished up 9 holes with a foursome. It’s a nice course, but not for beginners. If you are a beginner, come during the week when it’s not busy. You’re not allowed to share clubs (it’s against the rules). Otherwise, the marshal will approach and ask you to hurry up play without any constructive advice on how to do so. We did get a partial refund from the manager and an apology, which we appreciated. Sadly, the marshal made us feel very unwelcome on the course and turned several of us off from playing the course again.

Beautiful, community owned golf course. The course was in wonderful shape and (while we brought our own clubs) the club rental and cart options were beautidul and new - better than anything I've seen on the Oregon Coast on previous visits. Wish I could've played a second round.

If I could give them no stars I would. The website says family friendly but what we experienced today was far from it. I took my girls for my birthday to play for their first time and my second. When I read the reviews and website I figured it'd be a good idea. We called ahead and said we had a party of five. No where in the website does it state you must have your own clubs nor does it mention pace of play. As beginners I'm sure you could imagine that we are probably not the fastest. We let more than 5 parties pass us to help with the pace of play but still around hole five a manager came out…

A really fun, and moderately challenging course. Have played many times over the years and find it well maintained and staffed.

Very enjoyable easy nine hole course. Glad to see course in pretty good shape after being under water for so long. For sure a local vibe as area residents and their pets seem to cross paths in the evening, pleasant to see, friendly community. Course presents well for direction, simple to follow from greens to tee boxes. There are high grass , thick grass and watery soft spots that will steal your ball, best to leave the search, drop and move on. Cool fog came rolling in making the round even more enjoyable. A must stop to golf if you are not in a hurry and want to enjoy a round, Walk/push cart…

This hidden gem is perfect! I've been there during every season with no disappointments. During the golf season or during the off season, it's a beautiful place to gather with friends, family, or for a retreat gathering with your coworkers. I love Neskowin and everything it has to offer, from the kindness of the people to some of the best menus around, to the best beach to relax and at night to watch the stars. All of us to from Vanda, Elite Care, Canyon Rim, and Adara thank you for such a wonderful weekend getaway! ❤️

I don’t know where Marcel played but it wasn’t in the fairway or greens. Course is near perfect and getting better by the day. I played it 4 times last week. And, by the way, the greens keeper is the real deal. One wish is Marcel never comes to Neskowin again. What a clown.
