Allentown Municipal Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens and fairways, challenging yet fair layout, and friendly staff. The course offers good value for money and features amenities such as a practice range and a popular eatery. However, some visitors express concerns about slow pace of play due to closely spaced tee times and occasional issues with staff communication.

I love this place. I take pride in this being my hometown municipal course. The course is always in great shape, tee times are spaced out enough, there are tees for all skill levels, and it’s a challenging layout. The practice facilities between the range and the short game practice area are great for all skill levels. The range stays open late with the lights on. Jack’s slice is also a good environment with a huge menu of a bunch of great food and drinks. I’ve played courses nearby for more money and didn’t have nearly as good a of an experience time after time. Bravo! I hope this course is a…

Don’t even have words as to how fantastic this golf course is!!! Do yourself a favor and play it. It’s truly awesome. We walked Saturday for $41 each, greens are immaculate, the whole place looks so good. No way you can do better for the price anywhere else.

I play in a Tuesday afternoon league. Course is in the best condition it’s been in years. Grounds crew does well with tees, fairways and greens. Newly renovated bunkers have new (powder like) sand, so be prepared for that if you are used to the more granular type. Also, bring water for hydration. No water coolers on the course and no beverage cart.

They try to get too many people on the course in short 8 minute tee time intervals. It creates slow play- 4 1/2 to 5 hour rounds are common. Also starter tends to get talked into allowing 2 somes or 3 somes to cut in front of scheduled tee time groups as witnessed on October 23rd. Course is in excellent condition for a public course doing over 40,000 rounds a year. Space out tee times to at least 9 minutes apart or possibly 10 min intervals. Also need a ranger or "player assistant " to keep play moving.

One of the nicest muni’s around. For all the play it gets, it’s in great shape. Price is right. Juniors play for $10 weekdays. $48 with cart weekdays for adults. Very walkable.

Great golf course, well managed, spot a potty was clean, nice little eatery there, everyone was friendly, course was in good shape. I definitely recommend. Not very challenging or interesting, but pretty.

Everytime I go here I’m treated with respect from the employees. I’ve never been talked down to or disrespected. The course is always in good shape and well maintained. Keep up the hard work Allentown Muni!

Without a doubt, the best public golf course in Lehigh Valley. The greens and fairways are in excellent shape.

The course was in good condition and the staff friendly. However, I did not like the fairways first cut. The grass was too high and dense. If the ball ran out of the fairway into the first cut it was very difficult to locate (if at all) and play.

Absolutely Disgraceful Management – Never Coming Back I’ve played golf at dozens of courses across the country, and I’ve never experienced anything as insulting and unprofessional as what happened here. After paying full price for my tee time, the so-called “management” decided to throw me out mid-round—with no clear reason, no refund, and no respect. I wasn’t causing trouble, I wasn’t violating any rules (not that they could even explain which one I supposedly broke). It was like they were on some kind of power trip, completely disconnected from customer service or basic decency. The staff…

Terrible Experience — Avoid This Course! I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a golf course here. I came out to enjoy a round and improve my game, but instead, I was thrown out simply because I wasn’t “good enough.” Seriously? Isn’t golf supposed to be about having fun, learning, and enjoying the outdoors? The staff were incredibly rude and made me feel completely unwelcome. Instead of offering tips or encouragement, they decided to kick me off the course. I’ve never seen such snobbery and lack of respect for paying customers. This place clearly caters only to elitist players…
