What People Say

In summary

Altadena Golf Course is appreciated for its scenic mountain views, affordable pricing, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both beginners and seasoned golfers. The course layout, featuring a mix of par 3, 4, and 5 holes, is generally well-received, and the practice facilities, particularly the grass range, are highlighted as a positive feature. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, such as patchy fairways and slow play, and there are occasional concerns about the availability of golf carts and parking.

Altadena's best kept secret for breakfast and lunch. Ample in or outdoor seating. Awesome view. Excellent service.

Great place! some of the best kept fairways around. If you like long holes, you'll like this course. Great price, highly recommend a cart. The food is really good, love going for breakfast than hitting the course.

Nice course with a view, quick greens, early mornings prepare for your ball slowing down drastically due to dewy grass

Nice municipal course! Would be better if they would watch the youth players with carts. I’ve never seen kids tear up a course like they do here with no consequences. Pace of play is slow. But it’s a municipal course. Just the way it is. Cheap, open. Easy. Confidence booster. If you can tolerate the slow play. Better than sitting in hotel watching golf.

Great public 9 hole with nice mountain views. The price is affordable and the grass is pretty good too!

Altadena Golf Course is great. The range is really good, if a bit short, but hitting off the turf is always better than hitting off mats. The course itself is really good. 3 par 5's, 4 par 4's, and 2 par 3's. The course fairways are spacious and forgiving. The greens could be better, but they're not terrible. I will definitely play here again.

Great facility to work on all aspects of your game. Come check out Israel in pro shop. He'll get you started.

9 holes you can play twice to get a "full" round. Mid as heck. Dried out, hecked up fairways. Tons of areas where it looks like someone did burnouts in the grass. Completely random rough. Some truly gnarly teeboxes. I played here for $10 on my 33rd birthday and regret every second of not only playing there, but especially every second I spent driving to and from. Never again. I mean it... NEVER AGAIN. The chicken tenders were awful, too.

The place has really improved. The practice facilities are excellent, finally a place to hit balls off real grass! Nice putting green will various contours to practice, Chipping area and a sand trap. Good food and service in the restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The fairways and greens are much improved, if you haven't been for awhile come check it out.

Played 9-26-2020. Course needs some love. Fairways are in bad shape. Dirt everywhere no grass. Greens are decent though. They have a nice chipping area, bunker and large practice putting green. Range is solid, you get to hit off turf and not mats.

First. The people are always nice. Grab a cold beer and just hang after a round or a practice session. The golf course does need some work but it I'd still very enjoyable. Come relax and have a good time.

The course is in rough shape. More dirt than grass. The drought has hit this place hard. Fun little 9 hole track, even high handicaps can get around here with ease, not alot of trouble. The range is grass, which is a rarity in LA. Ill be back for the range.
