Angeles National Golf Club

Played Angeles National recently and the course is in fantastic shape,greens are fast and the layout is challenging. However, being a desert-style course in the foothills, the heat is no joke. There is very little shade once you’re out on the fairways. Even with the GPS carts and ice buckets, it felt 10 degrees hotter than the city. Definitely book an early morning tee time if you want to survive the back nine without melting🥵

Angeles National was impressive. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition, and the weather made the entire round even more enjoyable. My friend’s Coffee with Baileys before tee-off added a fun touch to the day, and overall it turned out to be a great experience.

Definitely one of the top public courses in the LA area. Fairways and greens were in great shape, and I don't mind the high green fees especially on a Sunday afternoon when that meant there was no one in front of us or behind us. Both my sons and I finished the course on Sunday yesterday in just over 4 hours. Barely saw another group during our round. Loved it

The course is pretty but has seen better days. It could use an influx of investment to bring it back to glory. With that said, it’s a true Jack course with many forced irons and forced carries but with a desert twist. It is dry and the air is thin so the balls run… grip and rip.

Good Course with great views and helpful staff! I paid 8 bucks for a small bucket of balls and I think I had 25 balls roughly dispensed. The pin placement was super tough on half of the holes we played. It is clear that many golfers that come here do not repair their ball marks on the green or fill divot marks with sand which is sad. I must have fixed at least two dozen or more of these I saw during my round.

Great challenging course and great views. Bring extra balls because once your ball is ob, you ain't going to find it

This would have been one of the greatest places in the valley if they maintained and cared ror the building properly and provided better food. The location is scenic and very unique, has a lot of potential, but I think it's being underutilized. Has ample parking. This could have been a place for an excellent restaurant, winery, but they barely make the food. I have been here several times and would have come more but other than golf there is nothing else reminding.me of this place .

Probably the best golf course in the area. Price is definitely expensive, yet the mountains view is just a piece of art. The staffs , both at the pro shop and the beverage shop were friendly and welcoming. Reading many reviews before I headed to the course, I assume it will be a difficult course. However, it wasn't as tough as most people said. I lost a couple balls mostly due to poor judgement, the course layout seems pretty fair in my opinion. (I was playing on blue... Not sure about black). It was a great experience and I will definitely come back

This is always a nice time. Beautiful views, great layout, true greens. It often has a nice country club feel because (I believe) the people who like easy scoring avoid it. Also it’s a little salty. 2 coffees for $10 and a bucket of balls for $20. Be on the lookout for the hot deals when nobody is willing to pay what can be extortionate prices. All that said it has a posh feel and is obviously well maintained. The pic I posted is of the putting green but provides a feel for the niceness of the place.

Avoid. Do not come here if you want a golf course managed by actual professionals. There are no marshals on the course. Round on 12/28 took 5 hours to play 15 holes with 3 groups backed up on each hole. You cannot reach the club house, they don't answer the phone and close at 3pm. at $200 per round and not being able to finish within 5 hours is absurd. Strictly a money game and banking on being 10-20min closer than any other decent option from LA. Don't give in.

The overall experience is not worth the current price point ~$180. It’s priced as a nicer public club, but deviates in some MAJOR ways that I’ll get into (namely, pacing). The good: - The course is in very good condition, especially for a public course. Greens, fairways, bunkers - everything was very good. - Beautiful views and the clubhouse also looks nice. - The course itself is challenging and well designed. The bad: - No carts available 30 min prior to tee time, likely due to overbooking. Practice area is about a 5 min walk, so if you have more senior folks in your group, may be tough to…

Fun and challenging enough course to enjoy. It can be a bit hot in July. We played when it was only 90 but felt much hotter. Fairways and greens were in a good condition. They really need to have water stations especially during hot weathers. Didn’t even have one at the club house. I asked a worker at the turn and was told they didn’t turn it on. No other explanations. Hmm… Sub par customer service. No Marshall’s around so the pace of play isn’t enforced. We got stuck behind a 4some who didn’t know much etiquette and kept playing so slowly.
