In summary

Avoca Golf & Country Club is praised for its well-maintained, challenging 9-hole course featuring mature trees and interesting elevations, as well as its friendly staff and excellent dining options, particularly at the Flour Mill restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming, making it a pleasant spot for both golfing and dining. Nice little 9-hole muni. A little rough around the fairways, but nice greens. Good elevations and trees keep it interesting.

Great course, well kept and for the money is a good value. I had played here for the past 20 years. I went on a Sat and expected it to be busy, and it was. However, the clubhouse allowed several 5somes and a 6some on the course. I wasn't let past even though I was making the turn playing 18. For the money you spend on weekend rates, there is absolutely no excuse to allow groups of this size. It's against regulation and isn't fair to other players on the course. I would have loved to play 18 but got fed up w waiting behind groups larger than regulation size of 4. Avoca course managers: do bette…
