In summary

Barrhead Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained course, excellent layout, and beautiful setting, making it a popular choice among golfers in the Edmonton area. The greens and fairways are often highlighted for their immaculate condition, and the clubhouse offers good food and service at reasonable prices. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and occasional management concerns, such as overbooking and lack of cart windshields.

Wonderful place for breakfast. They change the menu in the fall to a few fewer items available. Fast service. Good food. And prices. Lovely scenery. I bought a golf shirt for hubby for his birthday at the pro shop.

Outstanding condition, combined with a great layout. Updating as of June 2023. This course is still a 'must play'. It's a great layout on all 18 holes... Something few courses can say. It's still in immaculate shape, as it was when I was there last. And to top it all off it's a bargain. Oh, and the $10 burger and fries I had table service in the club was outstanding. Don't miss out. It's worth the drive. July 2024: course preparing for Alberta Mid-Am. Wow. Perfect conditions. The greens were spectacular.

Course is in great shape, excellent greens, large fairly fast, subtle breaks. Wide fairways, rough fairly long mostly due to recent rains. Very few unfilled divots and no ball marks. Bunkers had lots of sand, although some were quite firm. Pace of play on a fairly busy Tuesday @1030 was 4 hours 10 minutes. Well stocked pro shop, very good restaurant. Certainly worth the drive from Edmonton, very reasonably priced $55 with cart, also specials throughout. The week.

It's a beautiful place. My son had a tournament there. About a 2 hour drive. Driving range and putting green very nice. Pull Carts need updating. Club house was nice.i had a great egg sandwich there with fries. It was delicious! Another year, another tournament. The course was in much better shape than last year. Beautiful course to play on.

The course is in great shape and not really busy. Two of us completed 18 holes with a cart in 3 hours. Great food in the clubhouse, great service and decent prices.

Have you been to the Barrhead course? If not, you are missing out. I have played a number of courses in the Edmonton area, and Barrhead stands right up with the best! Tees, fairways and greens were fabulous. Barrhead must have given a seminar ion fixing ball marks, as there was very very few the days I was there. Super smooth and fairly fast. Great layout, friendly service and most importantly cold beer. Nothing in the area compares to the value for price. Book a time, you will be happy you did.

What a stunning golf course. Nicest that I have played on. Also the most challenging. Highly recommend you try it.

Golfing a many courses in the Edmonton area. Made the trip to Barrhead, as it's a great layout. The condition of the greens and tee boxes are second to none. They're immaculate, and what every course should strive for. About the only knock I could give is some of the bunkers are crispy, and the pace of play on a Friday was quite slow.

Just completed 54 out 72 holes on our annual 4man golf and camping weekend out at Barrhead. What a treat. Course is pristine and challenging, pace of play is fantastic and staff and management are excellent and accommodating to our weekend, especially Kevin. I can't recommend this place enough

The carts don't have wind shields which is very strange. Bugs flying in your face is not pleasant! We were not given the option to rent a shield which I saw on a previous review after we completed the course. The grounds people had no consideration for the golfers. They were speeding around while raking the bunkers with their machines and passed us when we were putting on the green and when they went back to the bunker to rake it they left the engine running - this was a lovely course but was ruined by the experience!
