Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course

Beautiful location and view and delicious hors d'oeuvres. Customer service was great and they did not charge our small group for the use of a private back room in honor of my father who passed away and was a vet. However, the room had very little ventilation and was very stuffy, but other than that, everything was great. I would say, 4 and a 1/2 out of 5 stars..

The Bayview Grille at Black Horse Golf Courses was a perfect venue for vibrant lunches with the panoramic views of golf course and the ocean. Alfresco area was recommended as you could enjoy soft ocean breezes. There were not many service staff when we were there. Waiting could be expected. Carne Asada Nachos and Poke Wanton Tacos was highly recommended.

Beautiful golf ⛳️ course for the public to enjoy. Friendly atmosphere with plenty of attendants around to help. They gave us a ride down the hill to the practice area. Plenty of space for all the golfers 🏌️‍♂️ of the day and the Drive Chip and Putt competitors that were there before competition at a full Pebble Beach Academy. We only used the driving range and chipping area. The rest of the course was very pretty looking though 😍

Expansive view of Monterey Bay and open view of many other holes. The course layout at Black Horse is quite spread out, but the holes are very interesting with quite a bit of elevation changes. The practice area is quite nice too. Course conditions are top notch except for patrons not fixing ball marks. The cart people give out free cold water bottles too. It’s a hidden gem for a muni - heard it has been renovated as I had played Bayonet several decades ago and didn’t remember much good things back then other than being cheap.

Spacious indoor/outdoor settings to have a nice meal and see all the beauty that surrounds us. Great menu choices and a delightful staff.

Wow fantastic courses. Beautiful view and excellent upgrades on the grass, cutting back the trees and delicious food and drinks.

Very well manicured courses from tee to green. Practice facility is great (grass, not mats) with multiple greens and bunkers on the driving range and a separate chipping green. Carts are newer and have GPS and Bluetooth. Cart girls drive around the course with drinks and standard golf course food. There's a restaurant and bar that I haven't tried yet, but it looks nice.

We had a great round on the Black Horse course with excellent views of Monterey Bay. The staff erre friendly and helpful.

Too challenging courses. Friendly staff. Excellent place to play in the winter because it's built on top of ancient sand dunes and the water percolates right through. Terrific! Range off and on turf and sometimes on mats. Excellent practice facility. These courses check all the bases except affordability. Prices continue to go up every year... Like everything else I suppose.

Bayonet is a fun, challenging, and well maintained golf course. I would definitely play it again and recommend it. You get some great views of the Monterey area and the coast.

Fun layout, tricky greens. If you want to walk don't take a push cart as it's very hilly. Nice practice facilities. The staff was polite enough, the weather was perfect this day. Will be back.

We played both course and absolutely loved the courses … conditions were amazing tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great shape the views are amazing as well. Love the range and putting green for wake up. The food at the cafe/restaurant on site has some amazing food and the bonus the cart girl there is 1942 on the cart lol definitely recommend this course to anyone traveling or looking for an amazing experience!
