Pacific Grove Golf Links

I slipped away on a family vacation to play here and it was an amazing day on the course! The course was in good shape, especially the greens. The Pro Shop was well stocked with lots of stuff with cool logos on them. Pace was just fine, but I was there on a Monday morning. It was interesting to start off with back-to-back par 3s, and we meandered through Pacific Grove neighborhoods on the front 9. The back nine is their calling card. It’s an absolute gem. I was in heaven. Beautiful views and just such a pleasant few hours I spent here. I have to make it back.

Played Pacific Grove Golf Links midweek and had an awesome experience. I paid $89 for a 12:00 pm tee time with a cart (it would’ve been $69 at 1:00 pm, but I wanted to finish with daylight). My wife came along as a spectator for $24, and my son played using Youth on Course for only $5, which is an incredible value. The course is beautiful from start to finish. Hole 16 by the lighthouse is picture-perfect. One tip: all the range balls are neon yellow, and the driving range runs along the right side of that fairway—so if you play a neon yellow ball, it’s easy to lose track of it among the range…

Loved this course. I arrived early and they were kind enough to let me start ahead of schedule. Everyone I interacted with, both staff and fellow players, was friendly, and the overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming. The views on the back nine are absolutely stunning- some of the best I’ve seen. I’ll definitely be back!

Lives up to being one of the best values in the area. Course layout is great with many scenic holes, especially on the back 9. Looking forward to playing again soon

This was the second time we’ve played this course, and it was amazing again. The only problem was that the group 2 groups ahead of us had 8 people join up from what appeared to be 2 foursomes. Our time was at 150 Saturday, and the groups were slowing the pace of play so badly that even the group behind me was waiting with us on the tee box. If only there were a marshal out there. Outside of that, we enjoyed it. The folks in the pro shop are always great, too. Thanks

Love this course! Especially the back 9. Cannot beat the views. Greens were in great condition, tee boxes were good too. Fairways were a little dry. It was busy but pace of play was good. I am fairly new to golf but was able to hang in there at this course and have fun. If it's busy, you will be paired. Hard to go out as a single or double. Overall great course, great experience and we will be back.

Really nice and affordable short 18-hole course. Some of the tee boxes and fairways could use a little love, but the greens are in great shape and roll true. The front nine goes through a small town with lots of trees and even some deer hanging around. The back nine has awesome views of the Pacific Ocean. We played in the early afternoon and by the last few holes the sun was starting to set, which made the views even better.

Great test of your game here! Awesome separation of the Nines with views of meadows, wildlife and of the beautiful Pacific Ocean.

If you are doing a golf trip to Monterrey Peninsula, add this to the itinerary. Very understated - even for a muni. Front 9: ho hum. Back 9: spectacular links layout along the pacific. “Poor Man’s Pebble”? Yep. Legit.

You know what, I really like this course, for the first time I walk 18 holes, this is not just enjoyable but a very rewarding 4-hour walk, cause you get to explore such a lovely courses details , and the tranquility of this nice little town called Pacific Grove. You first start with two Par 3s, break with two Par 4, then followed by two consecutive Par 5s, interesting arrangements [Joyful] Overall, Front 9 is nice and easy, just simple dog leg right or left with not much hazards; but the Back 9 is whole another story, you start playing by or against the sea, even though the breeze will cut y…

They call it the poor man’s pebble . My personal favorite. Spectacular views on the back nine of Monterey bay. Not the cheapest public course but well worth it..very nice and friendly staff . I’ll definitely be back. The course was in immaculate condition despite playing after a big rain . Thanks to the greens keepers for their excellent work . I love Pacific Grove,❤️.And you will too…

We play here most every time we’re visiting the Monterey area. Fairways this past weekend were in great shape compared to other times. Back nine with the ocean views is where you understand why people put up with the pedestrian front nine. Golden hour before sunset is best time to take photos. Some folks call it, “Poor man’s Pebble Beach, but it’s unworthy of that title. Most people here I surmise are not Veblen idle rich crowd, but also not Dickens era paupers. “Working man’s Pebble Beach,” is a more fitting name.
