In summary

Bear Lake Golf Course is often praised for its scenic views of Bear Lake, well-maintained grounds, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both leisure and family-friendly golfing. The course layout, featuring hilly terrain and interesting holes, adds to the appeal for many players. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about slow pace of play, course maintenance issues, and the impact of recent ownership changes on the overall experience.

Every year for the last 6 years, I have played this course as part of a golf trip with some friends. We love this place!!! The course is so fun to play. The layout is interesting with several challenging dogleg holes and slope changes that make it moderate difficulty. The scenery is amazing with beautiful Bear Lake as the backdrop. The course is typically well kept and is well above average for similar mountain/rural courses in Utah. The management is terrific. They are very friendly and make you feel like family. Each year when we come up in the fall we play the course for several days usua…

This course is fun! I don’t think it’s worth the price. I have played nicer courses for less. The staff was incredible, it’s in a quiet area and the fairways are well kept. Some of the greens need a bit of quality time and repair. The carts are old but at least they work. Relaxed course, no dress code, beginner friendly.

I really enjoyed this course! Our group was able to go before Memorial Day weekend when Bear Lake gets busy, and the course was great! It’s a bit hilly but that’s what made it such a good variety! The workers were nice with our carts as well and we got some really cool thunderstorms when we played in mid-May. I look forward to coming back here and playing!

Easy to play and easy to get a reservation. This is our second time playing this course and it's always a good time. Even though we had some slow people in front of us, no one is extra pushy or impatient. This is a great place for family vacation golf course

The Superintendent should be commended for the quick healing of this course from just a few months ago as reflected in previous reviews. Beautiful course, scenic, very playable, really enjoyed playing it, my 322nd course in a little over 5 years!

We had a lot of fun playing 9 holes here with our teenage boys. Everyone on the course was really patient with us when we were taking forever. We didn't even break any cabin windows! We will definitely be back!

So I’m not a golf expert at all, but I enjoyed the course and had a good time. The grounds were well maintained and the carts were fully functional. The best part by far was the view on the course. You get a fantastic view of the lake the stretches out long and far. Honestly, I would have preferred to just stand and stare rather than play. Overall, a great time.

Bear Lake Golf Course is a hidden gem! The views of the lake are alone are worth the trip. The course is well maintained and offers a good challenge for all skill levels. What really make this place outstanding is the staff. The course is owned and operated by some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. They go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience from start to finish . If you’re looking for a well maintained and challenging 9-holes of golf Bear lake golf course is the best option. You wont be disappointed .

This is a fun course that is very hilly. Several tees are elevated above the fairways. Hole #9 is quite unique as the fairway has a large hill in the middle of the fairway and then you shoot up to a green that is on top of another hill. It is hard to describe but really fun to play. The hills basically become your best friend or your worst enemy depending on which way the ball rolls. Also, there are some well placed canals and ponds. Despite the water hazards there is usually plenty of fairway to play safe shots if you don't want to risk losing a ball. The wildlife can be fun as well. This Jul…

Growing up, this course was always in decent shape. It wasn’t perfect, but at least there was healthy grass. Other reviews complaining of the condition are perfectly justified. This course was once a great place to play golf. Unfortunate that the new owners let it go. I would not play here again. Enjoy the lake or a raspberry shake instead.

This family run course is well maintained and fun course. They work hard to make sure you have a great experience. You might even get lucky and see a family of moose as you play.

This has been my favorite course for years. However, the ownership change has not been good for this once wonderful course. The recent improvements have not been very well thought out. The focus on the clubhouse and driving range are not golfer focused. Please, please change the current direction this course is headed.
