Great 9 hike course to introduce golf to your kids. A few water challenges with 2 island greens. In a not bad for a family afternoon with friendly staff. We also were able to goo into town on the turn and have lunch, then picked up right where we left off .

If a country club is like a white-sand beach in the Caribbean, and a public muni is like a beach in Southern California, this course would be like a beach at the Great Salt Lake. It’s the worst course I’ve ever played, and it didn’t help that they punched the greens 2 days before I played. And while I understand punching greens is necessary, what isn’t is leaving the PLUGS ALL OVER THE GREEN! Imagine trying to put a ball through hundreds of 1/2-inch plugs on a putting green. The tee boxes were a mess…long scraggly grass, hadn’t been cut in a week probably, missing markers too. The white tees w…

Loved the course! It was maintained really well and just all around pretty. Some of the pin placements were insane however but it added a fun little challenge

This is a fun 9 hole course. They are working on improving the grass on some of the holes so there are some rough spots but I enjoy the challenge of the course. I lose a ball in the river everytime but it just adds to the course's charm!

Was looking forward to playing this course again this year as we traveled thru Wyoming. We quit after 9 holes! The City has given up on this course. We played the day before the Club Championship. Therefore, one would think that the course would be in prime condition.....not! The fairways beat us to death. The mowers all need blades sharpened. Huge areas need to be filled or dug out and re-done. They boast about the double green island. The river has gone down some and they have nothing in place to keep it an island... It just looks old and tired. Kemmerer will no longer figure into our summer…

I liked the layout of Fossil Island quite a bit. I only wish that it had been in better condition when I played. Easy 9 hole course to walk. It's a flat course but had some nice bend to it and good water hazards to make it interesting. My favorite holes are #'s 3, 4, 5.

This is a small but good nine hole course with two island greens and a rushing river for one boundary.
