In summary

Bey Lea Municipal Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained course, accommodating staff, and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice for both local and visiting golfers. The course layout is beginner and intermediate-friendly, with wide fairways and consistent greens, although some find it less challenging for advanced players. However, frequent criticisms include slow pace of play and difficulties in securing tee times, which can detract from the overall experience.

Course is in great shape and very beginner/intermediate friendly. Big fairways and consistent greens I find myself wanting to come back. My reason for giving this 4 stars is the pace of play. Two times in a row I've gone for a quick 9 after work (5pm twilight) and it's taken me well over two and a half hours to finish 9 holes. I am an amateur golfer at the best of times and both times we were playing with 4 people (two walking) and we still had to wait 5+ minutes at each hole for slower groups (all using carts) in front of us. This kills any momentum and really ruins the flow of an otherwise g…

Course was in really nice condition. The price to play was good and the staff was pleasant. I did however found it challenging to set up a t-time through their website. I would definitely play there again!

Friendly friendly, welcoming staff that made me feel safe to practice there… even though I was alone & didn’t have a tee time! Practice green was in great shape… I would definitely return vs somewhere else! (:

More like spray lea, but for real how is the only course with no trees but i lose more balls here then anywhere else . I’m talking just blowing through a fairway into the rough and the balls nowhere to be found with no logical explanation of where the bal went . Some of the starters and staff also kinda run it like a military camp , don’t forget to grab a drink at the turn at the Resteraunt .

It's a good course for most levels of golfers, but not to challenging for the scratch golfer. The staff is for the most part friendly and helpful. They seem to have a good system for getting people out and through the course. Prices are based on a town member , but if you not a card holder , it's still reasonable. A 4hr round is very possible!

Currently sitting on the 13th tee box. No small surprise we started 40 minutes late from our original tee time. Typical overbooking issues along with ridiculous slow play with nobody out to enforce it. 90 degrees and no beverage cart either. This place has gotten worse over the years with these issues, youre better off driving out of toms river to play someone else that's nicer and care about pace of play.

Weekly outing, play front nine and in fair shape. Green are hard and fast. Fairways are pretty much wide open.

Bey Lea is a nice course that I have only ridden thus far with local friends but looks like a walk may be a little tiring in the end especially for seniors. The price is right for both local and out of county which I am but no driving range to get loose. They have a very nice restaurant attached if you wanted to stick around for drinks and especially dining later in the day. The staff all seem friendly…

I would love to give an accurate review of this course, but I can’t. The reason I can’t is because I’m convinced it’s harder to get an early morning tee time on the weekend here than to play Augusta. So I’ve never been able to actually play here. They make the system to get a tee time super confusing and difficult. This includes a lottery that is performed in march of every year to hold slots for tee times that costs $1300 per year. So if you want an 8am tee time on a Saturday, forget it. People have already won a lottery for that slot and will be able to hog that tee time for the whole year.…
