In summary

Forge Pond Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained greens and fairways, offering a mix of par threes and fours that cater to both local and visiting golfers. Many visitors commend the friendly and welcoming staff, as well as the reasonable pricing, especially for those with a country card. However, some guests have experienced issues with staff attitude, particularly regarding pace of play and treatment of less experienced golfers, which has detracted from their overall enjoyment. Additionally, the condition of the tee boxes and the cart paths have been noted as areas needing improvement.

An excellently maintained course with a fair amount of challenging holes to play. The pace was smooth for a weekday morning and all of the staff was friendly. I only played the front nine but plan on returning soon to play the full 18. For the price and availability I highly recommend this course. Especially if you’re local to get the country card for a reduced rate.

This is a small course of mostly par threes and some par fours. I think the back nine is a lot more interesting than the front. The fairways for the most part are in decent shape but the tee boxes are a little worse for wear. It is a very reasonable place to play golf price wise and I have always had solid experiences with the staff. I have been in several times and enjoyed each time I went. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful golf course, but unfortunately some of the staff tainted the experience for us. We signed up online and paid for 4 players, but when we arrived we were told we could’ve paid less for a spectator (totally fine). My sister wasn’t playing, so she didn’t rent clubs and as we approached the first hole we were immediately reprimanded because she was holding a club for her boyfriend, not swinging it or anything, but either way, she was paid for. We move on to the next hole and again are reprimanded that we’re moving too slow by another staff member. If we were goofing around in anyway, I wo…

Decently priced executive course, decent for locals. Most tee boxes are dirt or sand, which is to be expected. However, they do not care about pace of play here. You should be able to complete a full round in 2 hours 30 minutes, yet they will let people play for nearly 4 hours which is just ridiculous. All it takes is one ranger to check pace but they do not care. You will sit 10-15 minutes in your cart waiting for people to clear the hole every time. It’s a shame because they have put in work to make the greens and fairways nice for a public course.

As someone who has played here for 15 years I can say the conditions are excellent. But there needs to be some serious tree trimming in this off-season on holes 8, 11, 13, 15 and 17 ewpically when they have the white playing at the tips. Whoever sets up the tee boxes DOES NOT play golf. Impossible to hit a 100 yard sandwedge with trees in your way off the teebox. Simple course management

Excellent short course. Your driver is not very important on this course, and the greens are pretty straight forward. It’s mostly a bunch of very playable par 3 and 4s. So If you enjoy the iron and wedge part of golf I’d recommend this course for you.

Workers act as if your agitating them by giving their place of employment business, who clears walkers from the course at 6:40 pm? An emplyee that shouldn't work a golf course. Course is ok for what it is, staff overhaul, keep the grounds crew, they act is if its Ballyowen and its literally the 2nd worst track in the state

I had a disappointing experience at this golf course. While the man at the check-in desk was polite and welcoming, the golf cart coordinator was incredibly condescending. From the moment we arrived, it was clear he didn't take my friend and me seriously, simply because we're women. He critiqued our outfits, repeatedly questioned whether we had ever golfed before despite us having our own clubs, and even asked if we understood basic math, specifically a 90º angle. This behavior was not only disrespectful but also unwarranted, as he had no idea about our skill levels. To make matters worse, he…

Rude and condescending starter, you know who you are. Other staff also not so friendly. They make you feel like you don’t deserve to play their course. God forbid you walk on… starter just automatically says he can’t get you on until after 5 pm without a tee time even though theres plenty of times available. “Well let you play this time” they said 😂. Smd. You better have a tee time or feel their wrath!!

Always a nice local course to play, in good shape greens a bit slow but had a great time. Tight fairways gives it a tricky spin Update: 4 stars to 5 stars greens are in better shape then the first two times we played staff is awesome and the course is just a blast. We really enjoy playing here.

The course is more like a 3.5-4 star, but at the end of the review, I will explain why I gave it a 1-star. The playing conditions: overall, 3-4 stars. The greens are in good condition. A little fuzzy and thick but overall, better than expected and very few, if any, patchy spots or crab grass. The fairways and roughs are in fair to good condition, depending on the hole. Some are better than others. Most are grassy but some holes have large patchy areas of no grass and large sections of crab grass. They do a nice job of clearing out the brush under the trees so you can find any errant shots.…
