In summary

Lakewood Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens and fairways, reasonable green fees, and a layout that offers a pleasant balance of challenge and accessibility. Many visitors appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the additional amenities such as the driving range and bar. However, some guests have reported issues with early-season course conditions and occasional dissatisfaction with staff interactions, particularly during events or with GolfNow bookings.

Although it’s a little farther from where I live, the warmer temperature makes it an excellent choice for winter golf. The greens and fairways are impressively well maintained considering the season. I enjoy the course layout, and the green fees are very reasonable.

Driving range is $10 per bucket usually closes around 6:30pm. There's a little putting green that's free. The course is beautiful and Maggie's bar is there too. I recommend

Went golfing there this morning, alright course. It is April so in good shape for April. Some strange holes, somewhat scenic, not extremely difficult. Not my first choice in course in the area but would return, definitely not a country club feel. Worth going to once but not a course I’m dying to play again. Staff is very friendly.

It's a quiet spot but not in great shape. I know it's early in the year and maybe it'll get better once the weather warms. Cart paths weren't great, thatching all over the course. Still getting ready for the season it seems. Holes were wide open though, which was good for a casual golfer. Couple of really nice holes too, tried to take pics. So some good, some bad. We'll definitely go back since we're not picky.

Tough course at times when you cant hit it straight. The course is in great shape where some of the greens are like walking on a carpet. Good place for the money. Play here a few times a year. The have a great concession stand at the turn. Fully stockes.

I love this course so much. It is the best bang for your buck in the area! I’ve never paid x amount and been disappointed in the condition, can’t say that for most of the courses in the area. Nice open fairways and the greens are always challenging.

Never go back this course. Years ago,I brought my son with 4 player including me. So we need a third cart. They charged for two for extra cart. I am wondering whether someone comes to play alone, they charge double for the extra cart. This is the only club charged double for the cart ride alone.

Great course. It's clean and we'll maintained. Not too many challenging holes for novice golfers like myself. I highly recommend this place.

I was there on he friday of Labor Day weekend. My experience was not enjoyable. I was there for my niece sweet 16 and her parents rented the ballroom for the celebration. The place is ok with the minimum size for a party. The owner or the managers was rude, they are treating the people with roughness and being totally disrespectful. For the price they are asking for the place, you can find better place and more polite treatment. The man that was acting like manager was sitting on my wife multiple times with old and totally ridiculous" falling angel from the ski" approach. Not acceptable way to…

Played here for the 1st time two weeks ago together with my Wife, Dad-in-Law and friend. We had an incredible time. Frank in the pro shop was welcoming. I accidentally double booked our tee time and he totally understood my situation and suggested I call GolfNow right away which I did. Wayne was also really professional. He helped us setup our carts and clubs then gave us an insight on what the course would be like. His right about hole #12, it's incredible and has been my fave too. The pace is good and we really had a blast. Just booked our next game this coming Saturday. Looking forward to t…

Ahh Lakewood Country Club (yes, that's really the name) has arrived to redefine what "luxury" means... in a town where the fanciest restaurant is still Applebee's. From the moment you pull up to the freshly pressure-washed sign, you can tell this place means business. The valet wears a bow tie, the hostess says "sir" twice in one sentence, and there's a faint smell of money - or maybe just Febreze and cologne. The clubhouse is a masterpiece of faux marble, LED chandeliers, and chairs so white you're scared to sit on them. Every waiter acts like you're at The Ritz, even when serving a $22 Ca…

This is by far my favorite course in central New Jersey. Everything about this course is great especially the price for the condition. At 88 for peak weekend hours and 46 for weekday after 3:00 it’s only real competition is bay lea. The greens are in great shape as are the fairways. I’ve never experienced a bunker with an inadequate amount of sand inside, the tee boxes are also in as good of shape as any in the area even the twice as expensive eagle ridge. Only thing lacking on the course is water hazards. The other thing I think that could use improvement is the rough, it gets cut fairly shor…
