In summary

Brookside Golf & Country Club is appreciated for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout with small greens and tight fairways, and scenic setting near the Rose Bowl and San Gabriel Mountains. The staff and amenities, including the restaurant and pro shop, receive high marks for quality and service. However, some visitors express concerns about the condition of certain fairways, slow pace of play, and issues with lost items from golf carts.

Amazing, classic track. Small greens and tight fairways make up for the length *although there are a couple holes that challenge with length AND needing to be accurate. As any spot in Southern California this is a high traffic course but I consistently see nice greens and once in a while they are lightning. Definitely worth the time if you are in the area. On top of that, staff and the restaurant are great. Have been, and will be back many times.

We had breakfast here because we attended an event and they have a good selection for heavy breakfast if you want to fuel your day. My favorite was the oatmeal because it was well cooked and had bananas and blueberries. They also offer Mexican inspired breakfast as well. The staff were also very nice and would love to come back

This is not a golf review! We attend an event here yearly, and I just had to say how nice the place is. I am very excited each and every year to come into the clubhouse and relax in the AC! It's always clean and staffed appropriately. Thanks, Brookside, for being such great hosts to our day of darkness! Cheers

Beautiful outdoor venue!!! I visited Brookside to see Chappell Roan, and it was more beautiful than I could’ve imagined. At first, I was skeptical of attending a concert at a golf course, and I didn’t have any idea of what the layout would be like. I was extremely surprised when I arrived! The parking situation was well organized, the event managers were friendly and helpful, and the course itself was great! There were multiple concession stands, food areas, bathrooms, vendors, and photo ops. The stage was huge, and the field accommodated thousands of people pretty comfortably. The audio and…

This review is based off of an average amateur golfer. We were here for a tournament and unfortunately it was raining for half the holes, but as it got dryer and hotter, it became a solid golfing course. My first time here and I’ve heard about this spot from friends, it’s not too difficult but not too easy. I thought it was a good mix of par 3’s & 4’s. I just wish there was more cart services for food and beverages on the course, but still solid. Overall I thought it was an excellent course and the greens were well kept. There was also an awesome food/dining service area and a solid golf sho…

Really enjoyed my round at Brookside on a Sunday afternoon. Rental clubs were brand new set of Taylormade Qi10s. Greens were in great shape and fast. Playing beside the Rose Bowl and the San Gabriel mountains was a special treat. Pro Shop and clubhouse were very nice. Bring sunscreen and even an umbrella if you’re walking as the sun is really strong in the summer.

Horrible fairways, some parts are just dirt with no grass. Greens are super firm and every hole is on a hill, almost no chance to two putt even if you GIR. Pace of play is at least 5 hours. The LA city courses are in better shape than these Pasadena courses. Don't play here until they fix the conditions. Not worth $80...

Gotta give 3 stars because of the awful conditions on the front 9 at Nay vs the price point. It would be a nice course otherwise. Shout out to Amanda at the turn who had great vibes on Sunday. I would suggest lowering the price if you’re going to continue using the course as a parking lot, too. The back 9 was awesome, and had a great time there. No notes. Super nice golf carts, great staff and clubhouse/pro shop.

I recently attended the Chappell Roan Concert at this venue. I was surprised by the venue's size. It felt more like a concert festival grounds, all for one artist. That being said my one complaint was the transit and parking options. I parked at a garage that was a free shuttle ride away. While the way to the venue was smooth and quick, the wait after the concert was painfully long. The queue wrapped pretty far, and I was in line for nearly an hour. If you can avoid the parking struggles you should!

Flat and straightforward public course at a convenient location. Quality of the grass on the fairway was acceptable, although a few beer bottle cans were observed. On a Thursday morning it was already very busy with 8am tee off time getting delayed by 10mins or so.

I have been coming to Brookside for over 20 years. There are two courses to choose from, and each offers it's own unique level of difficulty. The golf carts have built in GPS showing you the layout of the hole, and distance to the pin. The cart's software prevents you from going onto the areas approaching the green (approximately 100 yards in). The grounds a well kept, and you definitely feel the serenity of the landscape while playing. There's a large driving range and two practice putting greens. Even just coming for a day of practice at the range is an experience. The pro shop has a lot of…

I would like to formally raise a serious concern. After completing a round and returning the golf cart, whenever I contact the course about an item I accidentally left behind, I am consistently told that the item is “not found.” This happens far too often to be considered coincidence. If the carts are returned to a designated area and handled only by staff, I need a clear explanation of who else has access to them after they are turned in. Just this past Tuesday, I left my Bushnell rangefinder attached to the cart. When I returned later the same day to inquire about it, I was informed that…
