⛳️ Just played Bruce Hills Golf Club—one of my weekly go-to spots and I’ve gotta say, it’s looking better than ever! 🙌 ✅ Fresh asphalt going down on the front nine ✅ Drainage projects wrapping up on #5 and #7 ✅ Brush hogging and land clearing in full swing ✅ New tee boxes on the way! Course Review: Bruce Hills a Vargo Golf Company course. First time playing here. Condition: This course was in great shape for being where it is. The grass is about 2 days over in need of mowing, however. Some jagoff took a Divot out of the 13th green. Layout: The front 9 is somewhat tight when it comes to hole by hole layout. But the back 9 opens up a bunch. Lots of hills to be had here, thus the name Bruce Hills. Leave your drivers at home here, unless you are exceptionally skilled and hit it under 270. There are several par 4s that are reachable with your fairway woods and driver. But y…

Fun track, not too difficult. Fairways and greens were inreally good shape. The teeing grounds are in need of some serious TLC, however. Overall, it is a great value, friendly staff and and very reasonable priced food and beverage.

Used to love this course. Will not go back for a while. The course is in bad shape. But the worst of it they let 5 players golf together. Everybody is jumping around from hole to hole. After we got done with the front nine we came to the back and it was packed, lined up, and nobody was in front of us on the front 9. Really!!!!! Very slow play. A lot of beginner golfers I guess because nobody has etiquette they play very slow and don't let you go through They really need a starter there and they need to be watching what's going on on that golf course.

I played here for the first time in a while as I heard the course was making a comeback…it for sure is! The greens are challenging, not gimmicky..the fairways were great..this place has come a long way! Shout out to the grounds staff as they are really doing great work here! I will definitely have this place in my regular spots to play in Macomb County!

I didn’t want to believe the reviews about over booking and slow pace of play. Well they weren’t wrong. Backed up 5 tee times on the 7th hole. Shape isn’t terrible for the price. Tee boxes have seen better days

Worst golf course in Michigan. Do not come here. Horrible staff/management. Tee time at 11:20am. “Frost delay” “45 minutes wait time” Nobody called to notify a delay for tee time. When we got here we paid for 18 then they told us about the delay and wait time. Ended up waiting over an 1 hour. Would not let anyone go on the back 9 to start. Course is not maintained. Barely any trash cans. Garbage everywhere. Ball cleaners have no water in them. Dirt tee boxes. Hot dogs under cooked.

The Bruce Hills golf course is located near 34 mile rd and Campground road(dirt). The golf course is par 70 with a mix of short and long holes. A lot of the fairways have a slope, with either a side hill or downhill lie. I would have been better off had I reviewed how to play uneven lies before going to the course. The greens are small but in good shape. The things that need to be improved are the tee boxes. The tee boxes were full of divots, and finding a level spot was difficult . Overall, I would recommend Bruce Hills, but the tee boxes need work.

Decent value. Grounds could be better kept but it's not bad. Has a few challenging holes. 7 + 8 kill me every time.

Bruce Hills Golf Course is a hidden gem that delivers an exceptional golfing experience for players of all skill levels. From the moment you arrive, the staff makes you feel welcome with their friendly, attentive service. The course itself is beautifully maintained, with lush fairways, smooth greens, and a layout that’s both challenging and fun. What sets Bruce Hills apart is its unique design. While it’s a shorter course, it demands accuracy and smart shot selection, making it perfect for those who enjoy a strategic round. The variety in hole design keeps things interesting throughout all 18…

Nice little picturesque course surrounded by forests. Not real long, but a number of small but challenging greens and doglegs. Only complaint was the somewhat ragged tee boxes, although it was early fall when I played. I'll be back soon!
