Byrncliff Resort & Conference Center is highly praised for its well-maintained cross-country skiing trails and accommodating staff, making it a popular winter destination for both families and large groups. Guests appreciate the resort's scenic setting and the variety of activities available, including night skiing and snowshoeing. While the majority of experiences are positive, there are occasional criticisms regarding the quality of food during special events.

I can’t imagine winter without our precious Byrncliff to xc ski as often as possible (and then partake in some reconstituting food & libation perhaps), along with naturally becoming part of its winter community (family, really) cultivated by the super-sweet Meidenbauer/Eddy owners and the whole staff. If you think winter is hard and long, look no further than taking a quick trip out to Byrncliff for a fun day or two (or an evening with its lit trails!) embracing our Buffalo winters. With a quick 10-minute ride from East Aurora, you’ll find yourself smack-dabbed right into their golf-course-tu…

I recently brought a group of 100 college students to Bryncliff for a cross‑country skiing outing, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The team at Bryncliff was incredibly organized, flexible, and easy to work with. Despite unexpected travel delays on our end, they were extremely accommodating—adjusting our reservation time and even staying open past closing to ensure our students had the full experience. When we arrived, every student's skis were already prepared and laid out in alphabetical order, making the check‑in process smooth. They also upgraded our group to a larg…

Not big on reviews, but in a world where you seem to only hear about negative experiences, I wanted to share a very pleasant one from the staff at Byrncliff. On a recent trip my wife and I found ourselves stuck in the craziest snow / wind storm I have every experienced. We got to a point where we did not feel safe on the road any longer, and were very close to Byrncliff. We called the office and they got us set up with a room right away. Given there was a massive snow storm underway, we didn't have high expectations for service, and really just needed a place to crash for a couple of hours. Wh…

We never go out because we are always disappointed. Byrncliff changed that! Everything was perfect. The food, waiter, drink prices. It feels like a home cooked meal without the work. We will definitely be back.

Many thanks to the entire team at Byrncliff for a wonderful Easter brunch. We were seated on time in a room with windows overlooking the property. Our server, Mikhai, was very helpful with anything we needed including drinks, the gluten free desserts, and even taking a photo of our entire group of 12. There was plenty of room between tables so we didn't feel crowded. The buffet was delicious, with extra credit for the fresh fruit, salad bar, lemon water, and gluten free desserts. Our thanks to everyone including the hostesses, wait staff and kitchen team for making this an enjoyable day for ou…

Offers fantastic cross country skiing and snowshoeing open to the public. They rent skis and snowshoes if you don't have your own. Trails are groomed and lighted at night! The night skiing opportunity is particularly unique. I don't know of anywhere else that offers night xc-skiing on groomed and lighted trails, which is a particularly beautiful way to see the wood/trails. They also have a couple of lean-to shelters with fire pits. On certain days (weekends? Not sure if there is a particular schedule) they light bonfires for skiers enjoyment at the shelters. I lead a high school outdoors club…

My husband and i went to valentines dinner thinking they had a special valentines menu and looks nice. It was a beautiful property, nicerestaurant. Our food was absolutely terrible, I ordered the shrimp and scallops scampi, it tasted like beef gravy was on the noodles and there was a lot of red pepper flakes on it, the 3 shrimp I did eat had no flavor. My husband ordered prime rib, fries and asparagus. The asparagus was the best part of his dinner. 😔 I tried his prime rib, cooked well without flavor. When I server came back to our table I made her aware the scampi and noodles was not edible, t…

Living out of state, we called several establishments in which to throw a 55th anniversary party/vow renewal. We called Byrncliff and had the pressure to speak with Joe. From the first call, he made it very clear that this was the place for us. In the months leading up to the event, Joe was flexible and helped us arrange an amazing event. We spoke several times prior to the event making several changes, and each time Joe had us feeling like VIPs. Fast forward to the day of the event and Joe was supposed to be off. He has his colleague Tom lined up to work with us, and he was incredibly attent…

First time stay for a weekend of wonderful rounds of golf in a truly beautiful setting. The course is a fun challenge and we felt welcomed by all staff from the moment we arrived. Had great meals nightly at the restaurant and breakfast was nice too. The condo we stayed in was well equipped and comfortable. Only knock is that the water pressure in the shower wasn’t strong enough for hair washing. I definitely hope to be back again for another stay. Thank you to all of the staff from the pro shop, marshalls and office for being so great!

Our organizations 3 day executive conference has been held in the fall each year at Byrncliff for 32 years consecutively. The service, staff, hospitality and venue are outstanding. The food is excellent and the golf course is spectacular. All at a very reasonable expense.

Anyone in this area should stop by and have a meal and or spend the night. A family owned business with good people. We ended up here by accident. A trip from Canada’s Ice Wine Festival. A rental with a bad tire, four women, in a snow storm. I will say what could have been a traumatic experience ended up being an adventure and an experience. Tom, Lindsey, Brian, Patty and Justin. Thank you for your service and kindness to four stranded women from Maryland. You showed us genuine kindness and I have shared that with so many people. Three generations of ownership, its a blessing. And we cant forg…

Had a surprise 60th birthday party there. It was so nice and the staff was very accommodating. Everyone raved about the food, it was delicious. In fact some people at the party said they were going to go back for dinner.
