In summary

California Oaks Golf Club offers a serene setting with a layout that combines both challenging and enjoyable holes, and the staff is noted for their friendliness. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers, as well as inconsistent greens. While some appreciate the affordable pricing, others feel the course conditions do not justify the cost.

Where to start???? The Tee Boxes were more like a batters box than anything! So disappointing to see this course in this state. It's a fun course and has a fair amount of challenge for such short holes. $50 on the weekend is steep for a course in this shape maybe keep the price the same as the weekday price and that would probably bring a bit more revenue in to start working on the course. In the current condition it'll take a good 2-3 years to establish grass. The greens were very nice and green however they were so wet it was like walking on mashed potatoes. the bunkers had zero sand in them…

This course is over hated in my opinion. I have played the best like oak quarry and hidden valley, then I have played the worst, van buren, cotton wood, and Creste verde. This course layout has no issues in my opinion giving easy short holes to challenging longer holes. The fairways weren’t the best conditions but they were 100% playable. The rough was pretty heavy, making it very hard to find balls even if you’re just off the edge of the fairway. The greens were in outstanding conditions for a course of this level and price. 15 out of 18 of th tee boxes were normal conditions a few were in su…

Believe everything others have said in their reviews. No functioning restrooms at pro shop & on the course. Has lots of potential but lacks the elements of a great course. Nice wildlife such as geese, ducks, pond turtles, birds, etc 🦆🐢

So, definitely the worst course I've ever played. They're apparently waiting for the community to buy them out and pour some money into the course. Tee boxes are rough, fairways are hit or miss, and greens aren't a consistent speed. Rough is pretty terrible, no 2nd cut. Buuuutt if you go into it just having fun, it has some decent bones. Staff is friendly. Just don't use your nicest golf balls on this course!

If I could give zero stars I would. This is a sad excuse for a golf course. The tee boxes were sooo inadequate in my opinion it’s not even funny. Some of them didn’t even have grass for a big portion of the tee box. The tee boxes were super un-leveled and seemed to just be randomly placed. The fairway was atrocious, and it appears is not maintained at all. The bunkers even seemed like they were just dirt holes, no sand at all so hey, at least you don’t have to worry about cleaning your bunker shots. In my opinion, don’t waste any money here because it is not enjoyable at all. Thanks a lot to M…

Recently visited this golf course and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere is incredibly serene, making it a perfect escape for a day of golf. The course layout is both challenging and enjoyable, with well-maintained greens and fairways. What truly sets this place apart is the good vibe - friendly staff, quality carts, and fellow golfers who are here for the love of the game. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful round of golf in a beautiful setting.

Really enjoyed the front 9. I haven't golfed for a year so was a bit rusty. Fun course. Greens don't run too fast, clean grounds, a couple challenging par 4 and 5 holes

I’ve played over 100 courses and this was easily the WORST! It’s a disgrace to the game of golf. Sure it’s cheap at $35 but it is worth only $5. Do yourself a favor and just go to the driving range!

Actually the worst course I've ever played... please don't waste your money. Conditions have gotten worse over the years, it's not even worth the cheap green fee to tee off of dirt. 0 stars if I could

This is a park course. It has some gimmick and blind holes. It's not long but it has quite many narrow holes i.e. it requires accuracy. This course was not in tip-top condition. The greens were very slow. The tee markers were not properly placed. The staff was very friendly.

Terrible maintenance of the course, bunkers are full of grass, many bumps all over the fairway, tall grass making it hard to find your ball. Would not play again.

Definitely the worst golf course I’ve ever played. Everything is in a state of complete disrepair.
