Camarillo Springs Golf Course

What a gorgeous golf course and surrounded by beautiful mountains and scenic skies. Wildlife in the area and on cooler evenings you can see the deer grazing or resting nearby. A lovely course nestled in the foothills of Camarillo Springs and surrounded by beautiful homes and landscape. Highly recommended

They have really turned this place around with the new ownership. New grass that’s greener. New paint. Camarillo Springs Golf Course ⛳️ is casual enough for the casual player, and beginner-friendly enough. Great for a golf cart ride for players and for those who want to watch. And it’s in the mother nature of the Camarillo hills behind the course. Bring your golf gear and go golfin’ @ CSGC!

I didn't play today. Practice only. I can tell you the course is getting better. The new owners have been working on improving it. Tha new driving range is wonderful! I can't wait until it's in tip top shape again....I feel it will be in the near future!!

The one thing this course has going for it is great views. After that there isn’t much good to say. Upon checking in, we were notified that there were no more carts, and hopefully there would be some by the time we tee off. Luckily we did get a cart a few minutes before the tee time. The first 2 holes were a little backed up but at the 3rd hole, which was a par 3, we had to wait for 3 groups to tee off. Unfortunately, the biggest downside of the day had nothing to do with my score. On one of the holes just before the snack bar, I lost my Insta360 action camera attached to a very noticeable selfie stick. I realized it was missing about two holes later. I checked with the group playing behind us, stopped by the pro shop at the end of the round, and even called back the following day — but sadly, no one turned it in. Updated 2024: Tee boxes are uneven but grassy, fairways are decent, greens are good not great, and bunkers are good. "Grass on the tee boxes" should not ever be a selling point for a golf course but a win is a win. 2021-2022 the tee boxes were dirt. If you compare to a course like Los Robles (at 2x the price) the fairways are worse but ok if you ignore the relatively few dead spots, the greens are slow but comparable in maintenance, and the tees are bad but acceptable. Camarillo Springs is a fun track but its fairways are annoyingly bad. I've played here several times over the years and the story is the same: fun design to the holes but almost every fairway is chock full of what I think are gopher holes, severe mud, uneven grounds, lush grass mixed with diseased grass and dirt patches. In contrast, the greens are in very good shape and the water hazards make for a beautiful and sometimes challenging course. Someone did a good job manicuring and maintaining them. The newly opened driving range with Toptracer completely transforms this facility and easily earns it 5 stars compared to its previous state. While Toptracer isn’t flawless, the data is more than accurate enough for the average golfer and adds a lot of value to practice sessions. They need to up their game with the golf course at this time it's 2 stars. If the course were to introduce a monthly practice membership similar to Los Robles Greens, this would become a truly top-notch practice facility. My time at the course wasn’t too bad, the woman working in the shop was fantastic. But if management reads this, Tim is a massive jerk. Update 8/17 - went back a year later… staff was nice and friendly but the course is just in awful condition. I get that cost on almost everything has gone up but those fairways and tee boxes are just terrible for the price to play here.

Owners are trying to do a cancel fee even though the policy says 24 hours before. They have no respect!!! Don’t play here Westlake is way better and cheaper. Holes 1-6 and 18 smell of raw sewage. Fairways have many hard compact dirt spots. Bathrooms are in awful shape. Driving range needs considerable repair. It's cheap...
