In summary

Camden Country Club is highly praised for its well-maintained, historic Donald Ross-designed course, which offers challenging greens and a layout that requires strategic play. The course is noted for its excellent condition, fast greens, and old-school charm, with friendly and helpful staff enhancing the overall experience. While some visitors mention the lack of distance markers and restrooms on the course, the club remains a favorite for its unique character and competitive pricing.

This place is an absolute hidden gem, then again I guess it's not so hidden anymore. The historic Donald Ross course can still stand up to today's long hitters even though it only plays about 6,300 and some change from the tips. Make no mistake, the green complexes and the speed of the greens which happen to be lightning fast are daunting and will challenge the best golfers out there. You better be on your a-game with your putting. This place has hosted numerous mid-amateur events, so don't let the yardage fool you. it feels like Aiken GC meets Palmetto GC greens. The clubhouse and practice fa…

Super fun Donald Ross track that deserves more recognition. Kudus to the maintenance team….course was in awesome shape as of today. Not long but greens are challenging Old school clubhouse with lots of charm.

Old school Ross track that is in great shape from tee, fairway, to green. If you don’t putt well then it’s your fault because the greens are pure Bermuda. Relaxed, low key, fun course where the par 3s will get after you.

Excellent green speed and condition, the contours and pitch make them very challenging. The course layout is also an equalizer, players can not overpower the course and hit wedges all day. The layout makes you hit it to fairway and forces shot making into difficulty greens.

A great local club! As a new member, I was fortunate to play a couple of rounds ahead of making the decision to join. The way I see it, you're not going to find a better course, in this great of shape, at a more reasonable price.

I thought Camden Country Club was a great round of golf. The course was green and well manicured. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only down side for a golfer like me was the weren't any distance markers. But that being said, the next time I an in South Carolina, I will definitely play again!

Always a good selection on the shelves or you can ask an associate. Meat is fresh, and primarily USA selections. I have not seen Mexican meat. Very good prices. Cordial and helpful associates.

Played this course on May 25, 2016. Was a member here from 1992-1996. This is a great course. It is in terrific condition. It played firm and fast - is there a US Open scheduled here ??? The greens were very fast, true and undulating. In fact, I did not recognize the 7th green from past experience. I am guessing that it was the result of the Kris Spence renovations in 2013. All in all, CCC is one of the best courses in South Carolina and it is always a treat to play it.

Wonderful Ross layout. Little rough around the edges. If you need high-end perfect, don't bother, but if you appreciate simplicity of design, you'll like it.

First time at the course. Tossed a 47-38. I was not ready for the slope and greens. Ha. Course is great. Greens are too. Definitely recommend it.

Unbelievable place to play golf. Old style course very well maintained that is challenging to play but fair all the same. Bar none favorite place to play in the Midlands!
