Carman Golf Club

Course was in great shape this year, great layout. I SHOULD give 2 stars for the ridiculous pin placements but I'll be nice. Worth the 55 minutes door to door for the golf, BUT my main part of this review is to give ANNIE in the kitchen some major props for having the BEST bacon cheese hot dog in the province. 3 strips of crispy bacon, perfectly melted cheese, soft bun, great wiener. Even if the course was not so nice I would come back just for this hot dog. Can't wait to be back!

I am not a golfer so this review is about the food. I often stop on my way from Winnipeg to Somerset and enjoy all of the food that is offered here. The service is very good also, plus the beer is cold and served promptly. I shall return. .

Haven’t played Carman in over 35 years. What a great surprise! Absolute gorgeous golf course in beautiful condition. I will definitely be back for several more rounds this season and would strongly recommend to anyone.

The course is in amazing shape. Kudos to the grounds crew! It is well worth the short drive from Winnipeg. Everything from the tee boxes, to the fairways and greens looked great. Electric carts had plenty of charge to make it through the round. Pro shop service was too notch. Thanks for the great experience!

Golf course isn’t bad. However; Group in front of me hit a line drive into a goose. The goose was in a great amount of distress and was flopping around the fairway. Needed help or to be put down. Called the front desk to see if they had conservation number. And the kid goes “ there’s nothing we can do about that “. You run a business that is littered with wildlife. Understand local policies and train your staff accordingly. I got through to conservation.

Great golf course, the greens were playing a little tough the day we played.

A well maintained simple layout. Great greens, with some good undulation, and lots of short par 4’s for scoring (if you hit it straight).

Sweet paved cart paths! Food and beverage cart hardly ever out playing. Thus the reason for 4-star!

We just went to the restaurant for a snack and a drink one afternoon. The service was excellent, very friendly. We enjoyed our Snack Plate of wings, ribs, onion rings and deep fried pickles. Very reasonable prices too!

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE RESTAURANT. Food was very good. Service was absolutely terrible. Never asked us how our meal was. Didn't come back to refill our beverages. And in fact did not come by at all after we received our meals. Went up and paid the bill and that was it. Service is important and this service was not good!

I absolutely love this course, well maintained and a tranquil setting. friendly staff. Great place for breakfast at a reasonable price. I golf here every chance I get! On Sunday 7 deer ran out in front of us on #9, it was great to see.
