Carruthers Creek Golf Centre

Can't believe why there are bad reviews for this great golf club. I went there a month ago with my husband and mother, the golf club was maintained nicely and the staffs were absolutely bright and kind. As it was our first experience for this course, they explained very nicely about the golf course. We took Whistling Wind course, and it was very great walkable Par3 courses. I and my husband enjoyed the course as beginners, and my mother who played golf for a long time, she also agreed that the course is very good. Absolute five stars!!

Beautiful par 5 with fast greens and challenging terrain all around. Fun time for sure!

Haven’t played this course in years and I won’t be back. I will say the starter and staff member at the clubhouse was very cordial and helpful. The course was in good shape when I played it about a month ago. Having played golf for many years one of the worse things you can do is have a Marshall that just parks his cart and just stares at you while you play a hole. My playing partner and I are mid handicappers and was keeping up with the group in front of us but this Marshall seemed like he wanted to show who was king of the castle. Decent golfing experience, absolutely terrible customer service (besides the lady driving the snacks/drinks cart). As a first time golfer, the staff did nothing to ensure that myself or my group would have a good experience. We simply walked in, paid for 18 holes of foot golf, and were told "you're good to go". We were not told that we had the option to rent a golf cart. We were not debriefed on the rules of foot golf that had supposedly changed from the rules posted on their website. Greens are in good condition! Staff is welcoming and helpful! Played the executive course on a Sunday, it’s a fun course to practice your short game and can get through quickly. Then played the championship course on Monday, which is a great course and very well kept. It was 33 degrees out today and the Marshall was out driving around offering people ice cold water which was very much appreciated! Will definitely play here again!

Been here twice so far this year and tried both courses. Both were great, well maintained. I'm new to golf and the whistling winds course was probably a better fit for my skill level or if you want a quick 9 hole. Big shoutout to all the friendly staff and especially Frank. I lost my club the first time we were there (don't ask...) and he called me about a week later saying they found one. He had remembered talking to me about my clubs before our first outing and reached out to see if I was missing one! Thanks so much... we'll visit again soon I'm sure!

Personally I love this course. Not the fanciest, but they've done well to make it a consistently enjoyable experience. Greens are in good shape/ course is in great shape overall. Staff are great and price is right.

Hidden gem!! 2 hour, 9 hole championship golf course and 1hour, 9 hole par 3 course. Both courses are well maintained and very challenging. The greens are on the smaller size and well protected either by sand and/or ponds. The staff are very friendly and professional.

Both courses are great and always well maintained, been playing here for years. Saw a deer yesterday which was cool. My complaint is that apparently the clubhouse is operating under a "takeout liquor license" and you must order food with the purchase of an alcoholic beverage. However, I was able to order as many drinks as I would like from the beverage cart out on the course without having to order food. That doesn't really make sense to me. No other golf course is operating like this and it is pretty inconvenient. It already costs $50 for a round of 9 with a cart so I'd rather not spend more…

I just had an event there Sept 4, 2022, I was the event planner for the baby shower. The event was beautiful! Robin was absolutely TERRIBLE, which is the wedding/event coordinator at Carruthers. From the very beginning of set up at 10am she was RUDE. We were setting up and she was looking through our boxes of decorations without asking! We put up decorations with tape and she told us we can’t use tape, which is fine , but starts taking them down on her own behalf. She should have just told us to take them down and use tabs. Had a poor experience. 2 experienced golfers playing best ball with an inexperienced golfer each. Starter kept trying to get us to go to the executive course. He insulted me when I duffed my drive by saying I couldn't get off the tee box. Our 2 teams finished the round tied at 48 with only twosome around the 8-9 hole

The course is in wonderful shape especially with the drought we have been having and scorching hot weather. The staff members are very very nice and have always been wonderful to me and my friends who come from all races. When reading the below reviews left by the same family I would say they aren't golfers and may not have even played here as there is no creek on either course which they mention...makes you go??? Plus they talk about foot golf then say they golfed...which is it...do you know what you are talking about...obviously not. Shame on you for posting bad reviews for such a great comp…
