In summary

Pickering Golf Club is appreciated for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and scenic setting, offering a sense of seclusion despite its suburban location. The staff is generally regarded as friendly and helpful, contributing to a positive atmosphere. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about course congestion, overlapping paths, and a lack of drink cart service, which can lead to a rushed experience for casual golfers.

A course that is as challenging as you want to make it. I played at Pickering Golf Club in October 2024. I really like the creek valley setting which makes for three crossings among the nine holes. There's also a good size pond to donate your balls into for a couple of other holes. The greens are decent size and can be fast and tricky. There's real, decent sand in the bunkers, which is great since hole three sees a lot of balls in them. You can play from the tips if you like and that's not easy at all. Wildlife, like turkeys, and colours make autumn here really nice. Keep in mind that given t…

beautiful course. great sand. Fooled myself thinking this was gonna be a walk in the park and a light cardio, but i was faced with a nice steep uphill walk right from the hole 1 lol. feels like im golfing in a nice secluded forest. lots of birds, even found a duck egg next to a green. very affordable as well. recommend.

I consider myself an amateur casual golfer (consistently playing for 2 years) and personally would go here again; however, if you are a beginner or looking for an easy, relaxed pace golf day - would NOT recommend. Pros: Price was decent (online booking discount), well maintained course and sand bunkers, friendly enough staff, and beautiful scenic views - lots of trees, small stream, and many varying degrees of steep hills and curvy paths make for a good challenge and playing of different clubs. Option for 9 holes is also great. It is a nice hidden gem within suburbia. Cons: the way the cours…

I’ve been playing here since 2017 and this is one of my favourite courses to play! Tee boxes, fairways, greens and bunkers are always in good condition! Short but challenging course especially the par 3’s! Staff are good people too! Perfect after work round. This course makes you feel like you’re hours away from the city especially in the fall with nice fall colors and turkeys all over the course!

This is a very well maintained course. Best greens I’ve played on in the past 3 years. Technical course, but still had fun as a novice. Fair prices, tucked away nicely. You almost forget you’re so close to the City.

A nice, challenging 9-hole course. Lots of elevation changes. The greens are well guarded by bunkers and run off areas. Everything is well maintained and the staff members are very friendly.

As a beginner, I found this 9-hole course both fun and challenging. Ron, the marshal, was amazing—he gave us helpful tips and really took the time to guide us. He was super friendly and funny, which made me feel more comfortable and enjoy the game even more. Great experience for someone just starting out!

Course is a decent challenge but not impossible. Always enjoy it. Gem now hidden in the middle of a subdivision. Was also in surprisingly good shape considering the hot dry summer we've had. My reasons for 3 stars instead of 5 are: 1. Don't expect a drink cart to come around. I don't know if they own one. When it's 40+ degrees out though, that is unacceptable and I hope is addressed. 2. No marshalling. In order to redesign the course and fit it in a tight space, many fairways almost overlap. Signage is lacking and there are (like the dribk cart) never any marshalls on the course. As a result n…

The arrangement was incredibly crowded, with no organized four-person groups at all. There were only two of us, and during our second round, we encountered a group of five. They claimed to be playing tournament, but they were constantly looking up and picking up balls. This is outrageous for a supposedly high-quality course. This is arguably the worst of the 27 courses I've visited.

Great public golf course at reasonable prices. It’s a hilly course with narrow fairways and lots of bushy and tree areas to lose your ball. I found this course pretty tough. I would definitely come back though for revenge since I played so poorly.
