In summary

Casta del Sol Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained, executive-style layout featuring primarily par 3 holes, making it ideal for improving short game skills. The course is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and the quality of its restaurant, which offers a pleasant setting for post-round meals. However, some visitors have experienced slow play, and there have been occasional complaints regarding staff interactions and course management, particularly with tee time coordination and dress code enforcement.

This is one of our favorite golf courses in Orange County. Its relaxed, moves along and they have a great restaurant and bar. We often come here to grab a drink and practice putting.

Birthday Dinner Party for the Win! We had an extended family dinner party at Oso Creek Sunday night. The manager welcomed us warmly. The chef made biscuits, arugula kumquat salad and entrees (sea bass, steaks, lamb shanks, and chicken pasta) for us. The sous chef made special bread pudding for dessert. The server had a few bottles of wine ready to pair with our varied meals. Everything was delicious. It was an absolutely stupendous night.

Killer golf gem in Mission Viejo. It is short but we got out first and played 18 in under 3 hours! Great time.

I was hesitant to play here because it’s only par 60, but that was a huge mistake. This is quite a beautiful and fun course even though it’s short. Greens are quite fast and well maintained. I’ll be definitely coming back to practice my iron shots.

Nice golf course, great prices, and 18 holes. We didn't feel rushed or had to wait that long between teeing off. The only hope I had was that they would have a driving range, but besides that we had a great time here. Will definitely return.

The staff was wonderful and very helpful. My daughter was taking pictures for the yearbook but they sent her to the wrong course. We called, asked and they went out of their way to make sure she got to the right course and helped her catch the players. Thank you so much.

Didn’t golf but took in the gorgeous setting and ambiance of the restaurant for a salad with salmon an was not disappointed. I’d get dressing on the side next time though. Very nice staff and there are heaters to enjoy the course scenes along with circle setting fire pits. The annex Grill area is also a spot for great views an told they offer a variety of tasty sandwiches an grub to go for those golfers on the run. Main bldg offers breakfast 8-11 and lunch till 3pm. Update: A return visit for the same dish didn't work out so well with salmon coming back twice under cooked according to my well…

Helpful, friendly staff. A well maintained course with a lot of par 3 holes 150-225 yds. to improve your short game. Drove 4 of the greens for 1-Eagle and 3 birdies, not a bad day.

The electrician made sure everything was done right. He stayed focused and did a careful job installing my EV charger. I felt like the whole experience was worth every penny. I would for sure recommend them to others.

This course is now owned by the city and they have made some great changes that I appreciate. The biggest one is the restaurant. Food is always consistently great with my favorite being their short rib dish. The golf is fun, affordable, and enjoyable. I always have a great time when I visit.
