Castlewood Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained and challenging 9-hole layout, which offers a mix of risk/reward holes suitable for various skill levels. The staff receives high marks for their friendliness and the attached bar/restaurant, Stella's, is noted for its good service and food. Didn't like the first hole because I was scared of hitting a house lol but besides that it was a very nice course.

9 hole, par 36, challenging for beginning and intermediate golfers. Course condition good, greens condition excellent.

One of the toughest nine holes I’ve played. Hazards and/or OB on every hole. Fairly narrow fairways and some tough greens (depending on pin placement). You don’t have to be a big hitter but it will make you play straight. Just a really well kept, challenging and fun 9 holes. If you can score well there you can score well almost anywhere. Love this course!

Over priced for what it is. It’s $30 for 9 holes with a cart. Can play 18 at tanners Brooke just down the street for $8 more and it’s a nicer course. Pace of play is very slow as well, I had to wait on every tee box for 10 minutes or longer.

Wow! Ridiculous... I have played up there for years. Today I called to make a tee time and was told they were slow. I was thinking sweet. I called to confirm the price online, only to be told a $10.00 fee would added if was playing alone. I was like wow. And I asked, where on your website does it say that.. a pause and then I was told my ride along whom I need for an eye ailment I have would be 10$ more. Which is not on their site as well. And I have never been charged that before either. Wow. 30 to 40 bucks for 9 holes. Insane. Especially when your not busy. I would understand if busy maybe.…

I love this golf course. It's a sleeper of a course, meaning, it looks easy enough, but really it is quite challenge. My husband golfs this course about 5x a week and loves it. Stella's, the bar/restaurant has great service, and all the employees at Castlewood and Stella's are very nice. You will feel welcome here!

Fun par 36 9 hole course at a great rate. 12.00 for 9 with a cart? Can't beat that. A bunch of holes you can bring out the driver and some challenging par 3's as well.

Castlewood Golf Course in Forest Lake is a great 9-hole public golf course. It's a great place for league play or getting away for a quick nine to clear your head.

For a 9 hole course, they make the most of the real estate. Not a difficult course, but there are more than a few risk/reward holes to tackle.

Only 9 holes of golf very flat and easy and not very well kept but golf is golf. There is a few fun holes.
