In summary

Chaparral Country Club in Bullhead City, Arizona, is appreciated for its friendly staff, welcoming clubhouse atmosphere, and reasonable rates. Many visitors enjoy the relaxed 9-hole course, which can be played twice for a full 18, and the variety of amenities available, including a bar and restaurant. However, some guests have noted that the course conditions, particularly the fairways and greens, can be inconsistent, with areas needing more maintenance and care.

Today was great. The course is in so much better condition. Before the city took it over we thought we'd never go back. We were pleasantly surprised today.

This place is pathetic now that it is owned and run by the city. They have folks who know nothing running the place, no golf experience what so ever. The greens run about a six on the stimp meter, literally bad for your game. And some intelligent person decided to hack the glorious trees that gave shade and beauty. The folks in charge are inept, and my experiences there have been poor at basically every level!

Course is in terrible condition. Most fairways are 75% dirt, what grass there is gray like an old man’s beard. Greens are in poor shape. No body plays it so you can play quickly but that’s the only positive. Photo of the fairway of the last hole

The course is a 9 hole executive. If you want to bomb it, you will be disappointed. Its a drive to a spot for your next shot. A little rough as it needs some water, but fun at the price. Visit the bar after for good company with locals. I will be back.

DO NOT RELY ON “rental clubs” or a “pro shop” Small and simple course, no one else on it made for fast play. Most fairways are dirt/dead grass. Greens were ok. Tee boxes had seed heads and were “clumpy”. “Rental clubs” are an absolute joke. Cheap round while passing through on business, bring your own clubs.

Played here while I was in Laughlin. It is a 9 hole course with lots of local members. Course is ok shape, pretty dried out due to the heat, Greens are rock hard and basic but in better shape than the fairways.. Basically, there's only a bit of grass in the rough....so keep it on the fairway. Friendly staff and locals and decent pricing made this a pleasant visit.
