In summary

Huukan Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly and accommodating staff, as well as its fun and challenging course layout. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's condition, particularly the patchy fairways and inconsistent maintenance, which detract from the overall golfing experience. While the greens receive positive remarks, the lack of a driving range and some negative interactions with staff are noted as areas needing improvement.

Visiting from out of town and played all the local courses. Skip Huukan and play Mojave. No driving range, unfriendly starter, low quality pro shop. Patchy fairways, furry greens. The track itself has some fun holes and could be good if it was in better condition.

This review is less about the course and more about one staff member by the name of Bob who started off our round on an unfriendly and unprofessional interaction. We arrived at 11:15 for a 12:00 tee time, we asked Bob if there was a range to warm up on and he promptly said no, and he then shockingly insisted we start our round immediately due to a group of 8 that was scheduled to play soon. We said we were happy to wait but he doubled down and yelled at us to go tee off that very instant while we were warming up on the putting green 30 minutes before our scheduled tee time. We go to tee off fr…

It’s disheartening to see how much this golf course has declined over the years. The lack of water has clearly taken a toll, with many trees now dying and the overall landscape losing its former beauty. I truly hope someone will take the initiative to restore and preserve this course — it once was a gem, and it deserves to be brought back to that standard.

Course layout was terrific, staff were friendly and courteous. of all the courses in the area we’ve played, this course is by far in the worst condition.

Huukan is a decent track. Much better if the fairways were greener and had more grass, but hey its the desert... The great thing about this course is the people that work there. From the lady in the pro shop to Wendy in the cafe to the starter, they are all genuine people. Friendly and axcommodating. Looking for a decent track at a good rate Huukan provides that value.

Greens and clubhouse were the only nice things about this course. Fairways we're in terrible shape. Lots of bare ground all over the place. I guess that's why it was only $25 with a cart.

Phil Freeman, who recently commented on the state of the Golf Course must have played an entirely different track than I just did. The Course is in great shape and the price is pretty reasonable for non locals. The Greens are pure and the fairways have come a long way from what they use to be!

Should be no stars.  This may be the worst "golf course" in existence.  Played it on 1/17/2024 and it was in terrible condition.  There is no rough or first cut.  It's either fairway, or dirt and rocks.  There are clearly irrigation system problems at this place because there was standing water in at least one fairway (this is in the middle of the desert so if it even rains, it's not much).  The fairways were splotchy and inconsistent.  Really, the only acceptable part of the course was the greens. But, for what they charge for a round, the greens should have been better.  Course has a weird p…

How you treat people is everything. Improvements made to the course does nothing when you don't change how you treat customers. Singling out some and telling them what to do when you watch others not get policed on course policies is going to run this course into the ground.

Ive enjoyed playing this course on several occasions and will continue to return. Staff, amenities and technology are all great. My only issue with rhe course is I find it hard to land on grass, even in the fairway due to the condition of the grass. If the grass were properly grown in I would rate it a 5 star.
