In summary

Chapel Hill Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, affordable pricing, and enjoyable layout, making it a popular choice for casual and budget-conscious golfers. The course is generally in decent condition, though some areas, such as tee boxes and fairways, may show wear. Common criticisms include issues with pace of play, closely spaced tee times, and mid-day watering, which can disrupt the golfing experience.

This course had a nice setup. I liked the way they had the markers for the next hole set up that you could easily see where the next hole was from the green you were on. Greens were in beautiful shape with a good range of difficulty and speed of greens was fast. Generally speaking the conditions of the course were mostly good with some rough patches. Tee boxes were a little beat up but for this time of year (mid September) not outrageous. We really enjoyed a beautiful September afternoon. The real head scratcher here was the watering procedures. They water the whole place right smack in the mi…

Very fun course the handicap player. Affordable and great friendly employees. Course conditions are on par for the price. Gets very busy on the weekends. I play here every week on a league. I recommend this course.

The price was good value for a Saturday morning round, and we played early enough that we were able to finish in about 3.5 hours without feeling rushed. The conditions of the fairways and greens were average. This is one of the worst routed golf courses I've ever played. I felt like I was constantly avoiding balls coming from holes on either side. The course needs an aggressive tree removal project to improve playability, which will also help with the pace of play issues noted by many other reviewers. My main gripe with the course is that I had reserved a tee time two weeks in advance and no…

No ranger at the 1st tee box to monitor who golfs when. Lots of waiting with people on your tail for 18 holes. Balls flying from every direction. Most players with zero golf etiquette. Most annoying were sprinklers on almost all fairways and some tee boxes as you are golfing. How is that supposed to work. Workers mowing grass with no care about players. Very anoying round. Wont be back.

Very fun course with plenty of old oaks and valleys.Like with any inexpensive course, the time to turn a round can be over 4+ hours so be aware

Honest Review: Great price and the course can be in decent shape at times (mid year only). You get what you pay for. People paying $30-$40 a round and expecting this to be TPC Sawgrass, you're high. The ONLY MAJOR ISSUE is they put tee times way too close together. You need to have someone at the 1st tee box ALL THE TIME. Controlling the pace. You need to have someone drive circles around the course ALL DAY, to make sure the pace is kept. I have been here 1000s of times and 970 times, I have 6 carts waiting for me to tee off, riding my ass and everyone else's ass, the entire round, not a fun w…

Decent enough course. Starter yesterday spent more time finding balls that he could resell on 10 than he did keeping threesome from holding up most of the front 9.

Course is in really bad shape, really no fairways because of patches of land with literally no grass straight hard dirt. I wouldn’t pay 20 dollars to go there no joke. Also people have no golf awareness and pick up any ball they see, lost 6 balls due to others driving across the fairways and picking them up. Please read this before going there, golfed there 6-22/25

Enjoyable, needs better ground maintenance, leaves need to be blown away from main fairways.

More mad that I had and my ball picked up 5 times by 5 different people. The course has a ton of dirt spots as well. I got a deal when a reserved the tee time and I was still not happy with the course alone.

Very friendly staff, Course was in great shape,(EXCEPT NOBODY WANTS TO FIX THEIR BALL MARKS ON THE GREENS) And the greens were greasy very quick. Don't get caught under the trees. Bunkers are hard packed, glad I only landed in one. Overall nice course and we all had a FUN outing. 8/1/24 Tks Pah
