In summary

Fox Lake Country Club is praised for its well-maintained, challenging course with significant elevation changes and scenic views. The staff is frequently described as friendly and welcoming, contributing to an enjoyable golfing experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with course management, such as scheduling during peak times and restrictions on walking, which could detract from the overall experience for some players.

Love this golf course especially the elevated tees today and the view was incredible. The only thing guest should be able bring the carts to their cars especially for seniors other than that it’s great course 🏌️

The course is designed beautifully and it is very challenging on the greens. It is a very fun and enjoyable experience. I am biased because I play league on Monday there but I would recommend this course to anyone that is in the area and have not played there before.

Great course… challenging but fair. Greens are some of the best in the area. Lots hills and undulating greens. The course is meticulously maintained. The staff was so welcoming- Front desk Finn was so warm and kind, bartender & owner Laura made my friend a great drink & treats both us so kindly.. and Jen the Cart Lady was so fun, attentive and seem to know the exact time we needed food and drinks. Jenn loves this job and it shows! Barb at the halfway bar was so friendly and the brats were delicious! I’ll be back! My new favorite!

Nikole the bev cart girl was super nice. The course ranger, on the other hand, was not. As part of a 40 person company outing, I would have expected the scheduling to be adjusted accordingly but apparently not. The course ranger was already hurrying our foursome along after the first hole and this continued throughout the course. We learned that he was harassing other foursomes ahead of us as well - even though there was no way to speed up the play with so many of us on the course. Really disappointing experience particularly since some of us didn't even get to play all the holes we paid for t…

I really enjoyed the land movement and routing of the holes. Geeens are mostly big. It was a lot of fun and also in good condition for this time of year. Holes 2, 4, 6, 7, 12, 13, 16, 17 and 18 have the most twist and turn.

This course has personality. I love how they gave each hole its own name. Really fun course. Very hilly but right there for you to score if you hit your spots. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and had a smile on. Felt very welcome at this course. Small practice area for putting and chipping too!

Made reservation online. We were a twosome new to the course. The twosome we paired with had experience and told us where to aim. Hilly and blind shots. The course was in nice shape. This particular Sat it was 97° and beverage cart was attentive. Also a halfway house restroom and refreshments between holes 9 and 10. The greens were nice not too fast but not slow. I paid $50 on weekend 18 holes and cart. Weekdays are less. I will be back.

Very good golf course and a pleasant surprise for me. Links are well taken care of, and strike a good balance between challenging and easy. I would definitely recommend this course to the average and above average golfer.

Fox Lake Country Club is a difficult course. The course is hilly, and there are many blind shots. The course was in good condition, and the greens were true. If you play at this course, be prepared to be challenged.
