What People Say

In summary

Cherokee Springs Golf Course is often praised for its challenging and well-maintained layout, with improvements noted since its acquisition by the Cherokee Nation. The course offers good value, particularly with membership perks like unlimited range privileges. However, some visitors have experienced issues with customer service, discrepancies in pricing and course availability, and the functionality of GPS-controlled carts.

great layout ! Only 3 stars because carts would stop if you were only 10 yards off path. Called pro shop and said I should have been informed if it was carpet path only at 96 degrees with bad knee. Shop responded that back nine was open to carts, this was not true !

I have played this course numerous times over the years and found it to be enjoyable, but in the last few months the employees act like they are doing you a favor by letting you play! From the pro shop to the Marshall I have found really rude behavior on a course that is somewhat over-priced to begin with! Played a round yesterday and probably won’t be back!!

Fun, challenging layout. Superb value. Wish the golfers were better about fixing their ballmarks.

Excellent course and upkeep! Great employees and service indoors is limited due to Covid for the time being but food and drinks are available . The “smart carts” are pretty awesome helping your game . Took me a few minutes to figure out. Pretty awesome 👏

Booked a round for 11/8/25, website said $30. Got there they charged $45 and holes 16-18 were closed because they are redoing a cart part on 17. The work has nothing to do with the actual holes of 16-18. Also, in the club house they never said these holes were closed. This is no way to run a business that struggles. Put a temporary cart path on 17 and let people play the whole course. Poor management all around.

Fun course, It appears no one fixes their ball marks but worth the greens fee.

Very nice golf course owned by the Cherokee Casino nearby. I've played it several times over the past 3 years. It's in better shape now (Sept 2024) than I have ever seen it. They have spent some money updating the driving range and improved the greens. Clubhouse is attractive and has a nice grill area for excellent hamburgers, fries and sandwiches. I have heard unconfirmed reports that the course will close for 1 year following this season to rebuild the greens.

Appears unassuming at first, but is a challenging 18-hole public course. We had an afternoon tee on 9/14/24 and it was a HOT one. The course is in good condition all around. Offer of free range balls to drive prior to play. A little dry in fairway with quite a few uncared for divots, but greens true and fair. Bring a few balls with you as there is some water that you will need to carry. A recommendation would be for better marking for GPS carts. We had to back out of areas that we thought we should have been allowed to be in.

Great price w/ range balls included. Greens are in really great shape. Can not play anywhere nicer for the same or less money. A bit crowded but it mellowed out after front 9. Well worth the money and the drive.

This challenging golf course was made even better since purchased by Cherokee Nation. The Nation spent a lot of time and money updating and revamping this beautiful hillside course and driving range. Great restaurant on site for full lunch or quick snake on the turn and a nice patio for a sunset drink after you play 18 holes.
