In summary

Cimarron National Golf Club offers a challenging and enjoyable layout with well-maintained greens and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both events and casual play. However, many visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the fairways and greens, citing issues with bare spots and poor turf management. While the amenities and overall experience are appreciated, improvements in course maintenance could enhance its appeal further.

Played the Cimarron side, and it was actually good. I'm quite impressed with the price and the quality of the golf course. The course can be a little challenging cause a handful of holes have a tight fairway with water or trees. Makes it fun and challenging. Like the layout of the course. Can't wait to comeback to play the other side of the course

Cimarron National has 2 courses. Today we played Cimarron, played Aqua 2 years ago. The course is in decent shape and is very challenging. Water comes into play on several shots, there are doglegs that force layups and there are plenty of trees to steer clear of. The drawback of this course are the fairways. Just in poor condition mostly and in need of water or better turf management. Fix that and we have a course worth the $40 green fee. There are water stations all over, a midpoint restroom, ball washers and marking signs with hole distances. Very well done. The greens are in great shape and…

This was a fun tough course, lots of trees and narrow fairways. We played on a Tuesday and took advantage of the all day green fee for both courses. Course was frozen in the morning so we had a slight delay. But they let us out as soon as they could. Greens were nice, the fairways were pretty thin and bare in a lot of spots. Pro shop was nice, picked up some souvenirs since we were out there coming from San Diego. Staff was friendly and service was great. The Cimarron burger from the restaurant was awesome! Would recommend that if you’re looking for a good meal on the turn.

Both courses are much improved over the last couple of years. The greens are really good and you can see the difference that the new grounds superintendent has made since he's been here. Still some tough dirt spots in the fairways but overall both courses are good.

Only reason it’s getting 2.5 stars rounded up to 3 is because the greens were impeccable and it was a cheap ish round for a would-be-fun layout. That being said, the pin positions were mostly ridiculous and the rest of the course was in horrendous shape. Not a blade of grass on half the fair ways and tee boxes. The Aqua side looked to be in slightly better shape, but definitely wouldn’t pay to play the National side again.

Had a lot of fun playing the Cimarron course, can't wait to come back to play the other course. Fair price for a challenging course. Never felt rushed and the people in the pro shop were very nice. Greens were in good shape for the time of year we were playing. This would be VERY challenging for a beginner and the right amount of challenge for an average golfer

It’s still early in the golfing season but the fairways here are basically bare with very little grass. I enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t busy so you didn’t feel pressure from other golfers. It was a fun course with lots of elevation changes but it was mostly straight fairways. Overall it’s a fun course and I had a good time.

I have to say that this was the perfect place to hold our event. I had no idea. Such a hidden gem to make our daughter's and future son in law's announcement a beautiful evening. Our families enjoyed their food, drinks, and service. It didn't break the bank. Maggie, the event coordinator, was so helpful and very professional. I would like to say thank you as a new Guthrie citizen. Your (our new) town has such amazing hidden treasures that part of me wanted to keep a secret so family could always have opportunities to reserve. Then I thought, nah, I need to share, I was taught to share. I've ne…

Golf is fun, no matter what. But what is this? Awful fairway conditions. Better options out there for $43 *Apparently the course has been this way for a few years, not just "seasonal"

The course was both enjoyable and challenging. The marshal did an excellent job maintaining the pace of play and kept us well-informed—initially enforcing cart path only, then letting us know when fairway access opened up. All the staff were exceptionally kind, and I’m already looking forward to playing again. Hole 11 stands out as one of the toughest par 4s I’ve ever played!

They have a sign that stealing range balls is a crime, punishable by law. The greens at Aqua Canyon are a crime. They are 30% bare dirt, 25% burnout and 15% crabgrass. I asked the desk guy at the turn, "Are the greens on the back as bad as the front side; " he said, "There are a couple rough spots but we are working on them." It's a joke, they should close the course for at least 6 months. Very sad. Duffy would be ashamed. I will not play, Cimarron National again.
