In summary

City Club of Marietta is praised for its beautiful and challenging course layout, well-maintained greens, and scenic views, making it a favorite among golfers. The staff is generally friendly and the clubhouse offers solid amenities, although some visitors have noted the absence of water coolers on the course. Criticisms include occasional slow pace of play due to lack of marshals, inconsistent service from the cart staff, and issues with tee time bookings and rates.

A great challenging course that is fun to play. Great scenic views throughout the course. The greens are fast and firm. Inside the club house is a friendly staff and the Grill serves up daily specials cooked to order... The practice facilities are adequate.

Always enjoy playing here. The views from the elevated tee boxes are amazing and I love the variety of holes + how different the front and back 9s feel. Greens are SLICK. Get your practice time on the putting green or you'll definitely be 3 putting. The short par 4s force you to make a lot of risk-reward decisions - especially on the back. A good day off the tee will lead to some low scores. Most of the fairways are in very good condition, but there are a few places that are pretty washed out. The sloping hills combined with that Georgia clay can't be easy to manage. On a few holes this for…

We come here a few times a week to play 9 in the evening. You will catch some really great sunsets if you play in the evening. The course is well maintained and there are some really interesting holes here. My only complaint is the greens. They are tough, but a fun challenge if you aren’t used to greens that roll. They also get tricky around the green because it gets muddy. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We have never had an issue with booking tee times. They have precautions for COVID-19 (required masks inside, thoroughly sanitize carts, pool noodles in hole, etc.). The pace of pla…

I enjoy this course a lot and play here frequently enough to have the course pretty memorized. They have spent a lot of time and money making the course amazing to play with challenges and great views. BUT.... HIRE SOME MARSHALS PLEEEEAAASSEEE. It is such a constant thing now to see 5 man groups taking multiple t box shots , or seeing young kids acting like it's a driving range that ends up stacking 2 groups on top of each other before you even make the turn. They list pace of play but no one enforces it. Your a great course and you charge a premium. I think there should be a level of exp…

Considering the extreme heats, the course is in good shape. Fairways are good, and the greens were rolling true. Some of the tee boxes were baked out, which could impact the footing. It's really short, even from the tips. Because of the distance, there are a few doglegs or forced layups. The hazards shouldn't come into play on most holes. At $60 on a weekend, it's decent value. There was no cart girl, and no waterstations, which should be criminal in this weather.

Played 9/27 and the course was in excellent condition - best I’ve seen it in years. A bit more expensive than it used to be, but seems worth it, not as crowded as it used to be either. Had a really enjoyable round.

The course is lovely! My husband and I were so happy to have our room overlooking the golf course. Beautiful! Took off 1 star as they had no ladies left hand clubs to rent.

Fun course that is in a lot better shape than it used to be. Half the course being cart path only is a bit annoying, so call ahead to learn about course conditions before you book your time.

Do you enjoy long putts on the beach? If so, this is the place for you! I’ve never played on greens that were so bad. Every putt I had went through some sort of sand or garbage on the green. I wish I would have quit after 4-5 holes and got my money back. It’s sad that I traveled an hour to get here and paid almost $50 for the most poorly maintained course I’ve ever been to. I’d say 14/18 greens are very similar to the ones in the photos below. Do yourself a favor and learn from our mistake! Don’t book a tee time here as you will be miserable the whole round.

Having played this course since childhood, it's finally been brought to its full potential with proper management. There is significantly more playable grass and true course cuts, especially in green complexes, that used to be debris/mud/rock. Management has also seemingly begun to solve standing water issues that plagued the course's reputation for years. Overall, the views from the hilltop tee boxes are wonderful, and the course layout offers a unique combination of wooded shot-maker holes and a confluence of holes in the middle of the "bowl" in the hillside where you'll get to greet others,…

Course in great shape, pro shop and bar/grille was great! Starter is kinda brash/cold and didn’t seem excited to be there. Bev cart passed us around 5-6 times and didn’t stop, even with us waving at her to ask for a bev, especially since there aren’t any water coolers on the course, which sucks. Come for the conditions, byob in case the cart girl just does hot laps all day. Finished 40 minutes behind pace due to no marshalls enforcing pace
